Got super stressed today and this is helping; highly recommend

The news is suffocating to keep up with lately

Attended 2 info sessions this week about policy implications with the incoming admin and it’s just so grim and sad

I have the great privilege of working with people who actively help people who live in the margins. I’ve witnessed their work transform lives, and I’ve also seen how policy and law directly impact what we can do and how much they impact resources available.

Having to work today is so surreal

Edwin Diaz has pitched in all 4 Mets games my nephew has gone to this season (including tonight) lol

Sitting in a coffee shop drinking a mediocre matcha latte… but at least it’s slightly better than Starbucks’s?

Hey, all. Julie Rehmeyer has made it easy to donate Blue Sky invite codes to folks in the disability community for whom Twitter was a crucial support. If you have extras you can drop them here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

I am trapped in a airport lounge because my flight home got delayed lol and I'm bored

I have a piece in the Washington Post today about those for whom the “post-Covid world” is not so “post.” Thanks in advance to anyone who’s reading 🎉🌱 www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

As predicted Shohei avoided a traditional TJ, though it’s only vaguely referenced in the official statement. Wishing him the best in his recovery!!

How is it that time goes by so quickly?

Finally tried L’Industrie~~ good as expected but the sorbet was S tier

Went hiking upstate over the weekend and got to meet these charming birds 🥺 (learned most birds end up at this rescue after they are hit by cars)

Reading Grit by Dr Angela Duckworth (it’s great) and I am UNDER ATTACK

My 5yo nephew wants to be a train engineer when he grows up, but he’s quite specific that it’s not the kind that /build/ trains, it’s the kind that rides them 😂

Ohtani scratched from tonight’s game due to right oblique tightness…

No trip to Chinatown complete without a baked good of some kind! The egg tarts from Tai Pan remain great.

I need a place where I can just post into the void sometimes and this site is not it lol

Finally tried Anita Gelato~ it was great

More tacos (campechano, birria de res, and al pastor) from a random neighborhood spot today, the al pastor was fantastic

The MLB app has a live 3D model feature and I turned it on earlier to see this… thought it was broken at first 😬, poor Chase Silseth

Ushering my friends into the world of bsky one at a time

I *would* be thinking about baseball but mercifully I am too busy irl this week

How is it that time goes by so quickly?

Thinking about the Forks episode of The Bear again…

From a local taco truck, not bad

I feel Kim in Kimberly Akimbo bc sometimes I also feel a kind of urgency to do something in life and idk what it is but time keeps running by

Ever since I’ve seen Kimberly Akimbo I’ve had the songs stuck in my head. 🎵 We’re on 🎵 a great adventure 🎶

Reading Dr Nadine Burke Harris’s book and the bear strikes again

Tacombi. The set up made me feel like I was back in Ensenada. The birria was pretty good, the rest were nothing to write home about. The tortillas have a very strong corn flavor, similar to those from Taqueria Nixtamal, which used to be their supplier.

My whole heart belongs to half the characters of The Bear already. 😭💔

Starting… The Bear

The older I get, the more I recognize that one of the best things parents can do for their children is prepare for their own retirement.

AppleTV broadcast has amazing cameras but their camerawork is making me nauseous >< maybe it's the close ups...

i don't have anything to post about at the moment. nothing particularly interesting or productive, anyway. maybe if you scroll around a little, some other people have some good stuff to post
