Now here we are, Trump is dismantling our democracy. Supposedly Biden, his aides and the DNC feared such a thing, yet they clearly cared more about power than the country itself. Is it any wonder the party is despised? God willing, if we make it out of this, we must never forget what happened.

Even more damningly, the democrats outperformed the president at the state and local level. They had a net gain of seats in the house, despite Biden's unpopularity. Without that millstone, perhaps the senate and house would have been democratic. He certainly didn't help. 7/?

This loss of a potential primary also meant that voters didn't really have a sayso in the matter. No primary candidates could make their own cases on inflation, the housing crisis, or the Israeli-Palestine war. The base was alienated and Harris was unable to separate herself 6/?

Only AFTER an absolutely disastrous debate performance did party elites begin to wake up, and even then so much time passed. Harris had a little over a hundred days to make her case and seperate herself from her unpopular boss in just the right way. And she outperformed internal polling 5/?

People who voiced concern about this were denigrated and mocked for "bedwetting", accused of being Trump supporters in disguise. There were threats of blackballing. To this day people whine of the media's focus on Biden, as if it's unfair to point out the emperor has no clothes. 4/?

It must be remembered that, prior to this coordinated dropout, by the by, he was in 4th place. Even then, his decline was somewhat visible. But he was an insider, bland, and "less risky". He ran as a bridge candidate, only to insist on running again, effectively killing primaries 3/?

Biden won in 2020 not due to any particular skill, but rather because he was running against an extremely unpopular Trump in the middle of COVID. Despite the crowing by the party that it was the most diverse, exciting list of primary candidates ever, they coalesed around Joe out of fear 2/?

I mean, this is from a fox news poll. This is after tweaking it as much as they can get away with.

I'm sure the people of Greenland would love to be treated the same way that Trump treated the people of Puerto Rico.

The unstable alliance between elitist, educated technocratic billionaires and the racist, nativist uneducated MAGA voters is beginning to collapse.

The last time these people were actually concerned was during occupy wall street, and that was ultimately peanuts. They truly had no idea that the vulgar peasents hated them.

The immigration argument is covering up something even more important: how homeless people in this country are subject to terrible violence with regularity.

Elon is savvy in that he found the perfect group of suckers to take advantage of. By the time he falls out of favor with Trump he will have enriched himself greatly at MAGA's expense.

Randlet is all about muh freedumbs unless it suits his purposes. Also, it's absolutely hilarious how the situation in the house is 100% the fault of their own party, literally nobody exists who can please the entire caucus and no democrat has a reason to throw them a lifeline.

The last days of your presidency is always the best time to back policy positions. Hopefully we'll get some more hot takes, assuming he doesn't have anymore corrupt scumbags to pardon.
