Can’t see them getting paid at all. DOGE are reporting programme total budget numbers, much of which is already spent or committed contractually. They aren’t saving nearly as much as they are claiming. That’s what happens when you don’t use accountants to do an audit.

It’s sad because you still think Trump has your interest at heart. MAGA is excited about one off stimulus checks, not seeing it’s a pittance to the permanent 4T tax cuts he’s giving the richest 1%… which the poor 99% will have to pay for. It’s sad because you’re easily distracted & fleeced.

Save yourselves. Isn’t this exactly what your 2A is for? For decades the US people have sat by while children were murdered en masse because the 2A… now you actually have a tyrannical government & you all are still sitting there clutching pearls & crying on the internet.

I guess it’s a mystery why Trump would be trying to delegitimise the ICC… Couldn’t have anything to do with his EO & the new AG confirming the “swift” federal death penalty now includes “aliens traversing the US border & remaining without legal status”. www.justice.gov/ag/media/138...

The USA can try to ‘sovereign citizen’ itself out of responsibility, but eventually there will be consequences for the stooges who were “just following Trumps orders”. I don’t think for a second Trump will ever meet justice.. unless he’s Luigi’d.
comment in response to post
I think Trump is more concerned with himself & his EO. He also told the ICC it didn’t have jurisdiction over the US. Here’s why; AG letter confirms “swift” Federal death penalty will now include ‘aliens traversing the US border…’ You think any will survive Gitmo? www.justice.gov/ag/media/138...

The US has trade deficits because they consume much more than everyone else. 4% of world population consuming 30% of all goods. Per capita the US spends a fraction of what Canada does in trade. No one is ripping the US off. Trump is burning bridges every US citizen will have to pay to repair.

She agreed to send 10,000 troops to the border, if US worked to stem gun flow from US = paused tariffs & retaliation. She had announced months ago she’d be committing up to 15k troops to the border. Orange mango genius negotiator got played like a drum.
comment in response to post
No, that was his first term. They’ll be diplomatic of course, but it’s different this time. No one is thinking he won’t tariff them. The EU will not play. Oceania will turn more to China. Globally, the US consumes 30% with 4% of the population… it can’t win a global trade war.

Probably should have got off their butts and voted. Maybe next time they will… assuming you’re still allowed to vote in 4 years.

I agree. That’s not what I’m suggesting, at all. I’m saying the US Dem voters think it’s left vs right, and the reality is it’s far right vs slightly less far right. It’s a capitalist system where any politician is for sale to the biggest donors.
comment in response to post
I’m trying not to sound condescending, something Democrat voters need to understand; The “left” in the US is still right on the political spectrum. They are also capitalists, taking money from rich donors. Bernie and AOC are probably some of the few, truly left leaning, honestly trying to stop it.
comment in response to post
We’re painfully aware of how ignorant & misinformed the US population is. We’ve watched for decades now as the rich chipped away control from the US govt. This is end stage capitalism. Is it possible you’re the one just now waking up and tuning in for the grand finale?

Trump should be given the opportunity to ride in a jet plane. Unable to participate in Vietnam due to his crippling ailments of youth, he’ll relish the opportunity to demonstrate his manly manliness to match the fighters of a bygone era.

I agree with you whole heartedly. But you need to remember what a Trump is a hack president. He threw everyone out of the room during state business. No witnesses or notes taken, he even took the translators notes. Normal Diplomacy doesn’t apply under Trump, world lead need to act accordingly.

If a bully makes a casual comment about you on social media you don’t rush over to him and ask “you want my lunch money, how much of it, can I keep a little?” PM made a mistake officially recognising the casual rants and wild musings of an ego driven man.
comment in response to post
In politics, optics are everything. And the Greenland PM just signalled to the world that he’s prepared to talk about it. He’s best course of action would have been a social media post (meeting Trumps informal comments) with; “We are not for sale. We are not becoming a US territory or state”

Yes, but are they making their shareholders a profit? That’s what really matters. Just ask any CEO.

Then I wonder why isn’t it automated yet? Am sure it’s as simple as you say, but for a lot of people tax is stressful and time consuming, and frankly, many people don’t understand it and can get themselves into trouble.

Vast majority of individuals don’t have to do a thing, just upload the odd receipt. IRD have all the data. We get notified by IRD whether we get a refund, or more rarely have a balance to pay. If you want to pay an accountant to do it, that’s fine, but only sole traders or rich would really do so.
comment in response to post
Mate, I dunno. I donated $100 bucks. Uploaded the receipt onto the portal and they put money back in my bank. Tax is deducted from pay, employer pays IRD (govt). 31st March IRD reconcile income versus tax & what you’ve uploaded & it’s usually spot on. Banks & employers upload data direct to IRD.
comment in response to post
You can also opt to do that elsewhere… the default is automatic as the majority of people don’t have complicated taxes. For example, I submit receipts for donations at any time online. And get the related tax refund within days.
comment in response to post
America is so backwards. You still have to file tax returns!? How is this not automatic yet? Oh, right. Corporate greed has paid politicians to keep Personal Accountancy a profitable industry. Silly of me… an accountant.

Because he’s a greedy narcissistic bully obsessed with screwing people over to line his pockets. There’s no legitimate way to get them so he talks about taking them by force to see what the reaction is. F everyone that voted for him. I hope your Health Insurance ends you.

RNS, Amy (the author) & a few women shaving their heads all fail to understand what 4B is at its roots. It’s not a protest. It’s individuals concluding “a systemically sexist traditional role doesn’t care if I’m happy. It’s cultural. I can’t change it & tired of trying. I’d rather be single”.
comment in response to post
More women are looking at their own situation & choosing to remain single rather than settling for a relationship that makes them unhappy. If they find a man that’s better suited they’ll pair up. Taking issue with women making a personal choice is the only thing “old-fashioned” here.

They don’t need a military to damage the canal. Should the US actually act on its stupidity and greed, they’ll find keeping up with the maintenance is impossible.

You also didn’t deny you intend to underpay the position. Insight from Q&A go both ways. The company is also interviewing. Alas, your company is not a good fit for my 30yrs work experience. I thank you for your time & wish you well. I’ll be staying at my current employment (tenure 18 years) 😉
comment in response to post
Any employer, HR rep, JD or contract using the phrase “think outside the box and excel” is a red flag. Backpedalling it to “other duties as assigned” when called out is another. TBF I live in a country where work/life balance is a thing. The interviews are more “why should I work for you?”
comment in response to post
That tells any interviewee your goal is to underpay & overwork employees. If you want more done than what’s listed on the job description, then rewrite the job description and hire for THAT position.

Sir, nobody doubts you or Insurance Companies aren’t fully aware the healthcare system doesn’t work well for those needing it… We just doubt you care. Your profits indicate you don’t care. Your salary confirms you don’t.
comment in response to post
Why not? You’d actually save money. US are paying far too much for healthcare now. If it’s “I’m not paying for someone else!”… umm, how do you think insurance works? Your money is pooled and distributed to those who need it. Only difference is private is for profit & likely to deny you services.

“drill baby drill”? Not happening. The US are drilling more oil now with less rigs because of technological advances… there is no longer a need for a high volume of old inefficient drills. US production is meeting demand and then some. High gas prices have fuck all to do with US drilling.
