How do #ALevelMaths teachers use model solutions in the classroom? This is the current conversation in the OCR A Level Maths team as we look for new ways to support our qualifications. We'd love to hear from you (not only OCR teachers!) Sign up to our Recollective panel here: tinyurl.com/27apkdjy

I posted about this a little while ago but we have a date set for this now! If you reached out to me previously you'll be getting an email about this soon. We're still looking for volunteers - so please reach out 😀 #UKMathsChat #Edusky #Mathstoday

Is anyone in #UKMathsChat around the Leeds area? I'll be helping to run a GCSE Maths Network at Oulton Academy on 6th Feb. It's ran by OCR - but open to all Maths teachers. Focus will be on tiering with open Q&A time at the end. More details here: teach.ocr.org.uk/teacher-netw... #edusky

Betrayal is when you wait to complete the GCHQ Christmas challenge with your husband, only for him to tell you that he did it with his colleagues at work 😡 Just to be clear, he's not even a teacher, he works an office job! #UKMathsChat

Have you already completed the GCHQ Christmas Card with your pupils? Here's another puzzle you can use during this wind-down period before the Christmas holudays. #UKMathsChat #MathsToday

Lo and behold, I've written another blog (I'm on a roll!). Relevant for teachers of #ALevelMaths, myself and @stevemaths.bsky.social are deep diving into some of our command words - this one is on 'determine' www.ocr.org.uk/blog/alevel-... #UKMathsChat - what else should I write a blog about?

This week's #OCRMathspuzzle is below! A red segment is constructed next to a green full circle, as seen below. The area of the green full circle is 48 cm^2. What is the area of the red segment? #iteachMath #UKMathsChat #maths #teachers #resources #geometry #circle #triangle

I've written a new blog! This one is about the importance of accurate vocabulary in Statistics. The blog was written about OCR A Level Maths and Further Maths - but it is useful for all boards. Thanks to the examiners who contributed! www.ocr.org.uk/blog/alevel-... #UKMathsChat #Edusky #ALevelMaths

Come and listen to my colleagues, Neil and Caroline, in their @ttradioofficial.bsky.social session looking at accessibility in Maths tomorrow evening. I've learnt so much from them this past year, and I'm sure the session will be full of insights! www.linkedin.com/events/ttrsp... #UKMathsChat

#UKMathsChat #Edusky I'm looking for Maths teachers (ECTs, ITTs and non-specialists too!) to take part in some research I'm doing at work. If you've had any experience teaching Maths and you've got opinions on how it could be better, then I'd love to hear from you! forms.office.com/e/Tz0C6N0ku6

Ofqual have launched another consultation on formulae sheets for GCSE Maths (and sciences) for 2025, 2026 and 2027. Make sure to have your say! What does #UKMathsChat and #Edusky think about formula sheets? Should they stick around for a few more years? www.gov.uk/government/c...

Can someone help me navigate this website? How do I make sure my posts are showing up in certain feeds? Do I have to make sure that I use the relevant hashtags like #UKMathsChat? Because I see plenty of other posts showing up in the feed sans hashtag. Writing this out has made me feel so old...

We absolutely all need to take the time to fill this out! I know it's a busy time of the year but this is our chance to be heard! Might be a good thing to chat about in a department meeting, I know I'll definitely be talking to colleagues about it.

This is fab! I wish I had this tool when I was teaching expanding brackets. In hindsight I feel so silly for not ever thinking of the first step of rewriting two brackets into a combination of expanding one bracket.
