It is - and, then the world is a hot mess on top of it. The only good thing is that the family is talking daily instead of every few weeks, so that part is nice. A lot of reminiscing . 🩵

🩵 It’s just extra this year - with our cousin at end of his life, and our Uncle passing away unexpectedly at 61. It’s a lot.

I sent my Dad this picture & he was open about his grief - maybe for the first time. 🩵

🩵 We joke (morbidly) that we must have a curse on the family.

It was powerful & I’m not often moved by TV, but that show!

It was just two of us, but I know how you feel. It’s very “alone”.

We watched the entire thing over a few day. It gave me some anxiety though!

His daughter was 3 when he passed away - so we have a pice of him & that has made it a bit easier. 🩵

It seemed like a pretty raw portrayal of medicine - not a typical soap opera medical show.

Probably the least cute of the four (they were all adorable), but the loudest & they bonded instantly, and that was that.

It is - you share more DNA with a sibling that you do with your own children.

He’s on the left, and I’m on the right. We each lost our siblings in accidents, and our little cousin in the front died from sepsis from undiagnosed post-partum pneumonia.

We have a big family, with Mom being one of 14 kids, but literally nobody lives to old age. My Mom was the oldest living at 72. My cousin with cancer that has been holding on, but is completely sedated now - we are the only 2 living out of the first 8 cousins born. 💔

We’re still unsettled & we’ve been in the new house for a year. My DIL fostered 4 sick kittens for the Humane Society, and my son fell in love with the crazy one, so they just got him back yesterday for good.

I have no idea - some fancy petunia. I’m terrible with the plant names. I would like to think I’m getting better as I’m getting more into flower gardening, but I know that I won’t. 😂

Have you guys watched the series, The Pitt? The elderly Dad is passing & the siblings are having some issues, so the good doc gives them this speech about how the tow of them hold all of each other’s history from the very beginning & it really hit home for me.

There were just the two of us & siblings share so much history growing up.

He could have been a stand up comedian - he was pretty funny. He went in white water after a buddy got in trouble.

They are my favorite this year. I put them in two planters & they are bold!

As you can see - he was a character & a half. He was always the center of attention & hysterically funny. He died in a drowning accident when he was 25. 💔

Thanks - it’s sort of weird that I have nobody to cross reference memories of our childhood.

Hey you - are you all settled in the new place? How is Ellie?
