RFK Jr. takes a sledgehammer to vaccine progress, halting a $460M Covid pill project & canceling the FDA’s flu shot meeting. Who needs science when we have vibes & conspiracy theories? Up next: Crystals vs. measles & a new CDC motto—"What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger." #PublicHealth

Medicare coverage for telemedicine is set to expire end of March Telemedicine is a vital accommodation tool for disabled & elderly people. Many can’t get to in person appointments without risk to baseline & health setbacks Yet representatives at Medicare don’t seem to know what’s happening?

If you would have told me I would be watching coverage of the congressional budget resolution on a Thursday in February I would have laughed. I miss laughing so so so much.

It’s time to DO the thing instead of think about it endlessly. I’m starting with veggies in pots and I transplanted my tomatoes into a bigger container. Ooo I also put in some flowers for kicks. Let this be a lesson to me that I can do the things even if things feel crappy.

I cant find a damn thing to be joyful about today. I am in a terrible, hopeless mood and the only thing I can say on day 13 is I am alive and breathing and I don’t have a pic for that.

The latest acquisition in my Dystopian Nightmare collection.

Day 10 got away from me so here is 10 and 11. This octopus pleases me, I helped save it from a arcade claw machine (what are those called??) and I am loving learning a new language with Duolingo

Day 9 is the joy I feel hanging out with chosen family and making funny pizzas. I am grateful AF for my circle.

Day 8!is this orange baby I am taking care of. He is a maniac and I love him.

Day 7 is rain. In recent years I only see it a few days here and there, especially near the desert, and I am hoping it will do some good. We need some good.

The moon kept me up most of the night, so on day 6 I would like to highlight this magnificent magical beast who is happy to rest with me all day. This practice is making me more thoughtful about little happy moments

Look, it’s the moon! Pictures rarely capture how stunning the moon is any given night but I still try. Day 5 is the moon in all her magic.

Day 4/100 things that make me happy…the happiness that I felt (after it kicked in of course) for effective medicine for the migraine I woke up with. I am so grateful for access to my meds and medical care, I know how lucky I am. Now I get to experience today and that is amazing.

Day 3/100 things that make me happy. I made a pumpkin cinnamon swirl sourdough and it looks pretty damn good to me.

Day 2 of something that brings me joy. I am creating with legos which gives me flowers the cats don’t eat, helps my brain and fine motor movement connect and it’s just fun.

100 days, one picture a day of something that makes me happy. I need these reminders. This is a lemon tree I grew from seed from my childhood home before it was sold. It’s growing in a tough climate, the pot is probably too small, but damn if it doesn’t keep reaching for the sun. Hmmmmmm.

Chappell Roan reading from her journal about artist’s healthcare needs is everything

Notice how they're all for bodily autonomy as long as 1 it's THEIR bodily autonomy, 2 it's going AGAINST what's medically advised, not what science actually says WORKS, and 3 it's not saving any lives, but actually harming people (There's other, equally horrible reasons too, but character limit)

If you see someone sleeping in their car, no you didn’t. People just trying to find a safe place for the night aren’t your problem. What kind of person reports that? Mind your business and let folks rest. The world’s hard enough without you making it harder.

CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) has provided real-time data and analysis about disease outbreaks and emerging health threats without a break every week since 1960. Until today.

Good morning, Bluesky. I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but even during the darkest of times, it is still so important to seek joy. Allow yourself to enjoy the little things in life. The last thing left in Pandora’s box was HOPE. Never forget that. 🤍

BIG mood. Big.

SHARE WIDELY. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one. (1/3)

Don’t underestimate the impact you’re making when you choose to wear a mask. You’re protecting your health & the health of your community. You’re helping ease the burden on our healthcare system. You’re standing in solidarity with disabled people & telling the government that no one is expendable

Making animated movies into live action: tiresome, unnecessary, lame Re-making every classic film into a muppet movie with a single human actor: sophisticated, erudite, revolutionary
