Nope. It was legal in colonial America prior to quickening. Ben Franklin had an abortion recipe in his 1734 book. Advertisements for "restoring the menses" (abortifacients) were common for years. It was legal in 13 states when Roe was passed in 1973.

You're actually saying that you demand the gov't follow church doctrine on moral issues. A few years ago people were panicked about the imposition of Sharia law. Now you're demanding it.

According to Stalin in 1943- and confirmed by Krushchev in his memoirs:
“The United States … is a country of machines. Without the use of those machines through Lend-Lease, we would lose this war.”

I'm sure that spending hundreds of millions to reopen a 100-year-old facility that was too difficult and expensive to operate the first time around, all to house a maximum 336 inmates, is a wise and response way to eliminate "waste, fraud, and abuse," and is responsible stewardship of taxpayer $$$

Yeah, I mean the U.S. traditionally punishes misdemeanors without a trial and rendition for life to a foreign gulag.

Guy literally alienated every trade partner we have and picked a trade fight with a key player in our economy that happens to have 300% of our production capacity. Stable genius.

Whole lotta middle aged white guys with educations still identify as an R from the 80s and can't bring themselves to admit what the current GOP is. So they have to watch Fox and keep allegiance because the entire non-GOP nation is clearly "radical leftist"

I guess I'm the opposite in experience. The majority of the Catholics I know (I'm non practicing now) roll their eyes at obedience to the church, voting their conscience, while publicly moderating their tone.

No doubt. But the split between the upper clergy and the lay community is pretty evident-and the division between American Catholics and European Catholics on following doctrine and clergy direction is also stark-for example, 60% of lay Catholics favor abortion rights.

Very different statistics in both articles. Guess it depends on which survey results were accurate.

Nobody turned out in droves to support Kamala. She ran a great campaign in 100 days, but she was screwed from the get-go. Joe should never have tried to run again, and his insiders should have stood up to him.

"Support and encouraged" is pretty strong . 46% of white Catholics voted against him 57% of white Americans voted for him, while only 54% of white Catholics did so. looks like white Catholics were less likely to support him than overall white voters.

What a pathetic excuse for a POTUS, begging "Vladimir STOP" on social media. Our adversaries are rolling on the floor. This is beyond parody.

Friend of mine teaches at a high school and intentionally steers clear of current events because he can't even have classroom discussions without the MAGA parents losing their minds. Imagine teaching history and government on J6 and not being able to even talk about it.

If only there was some kind of legal process for a finder of fact in an adversary hearing or trial, in public, with evidence presented by both sides, so a determination could be made before he gets sent to a foreign gulag. It seems like he's due that, rather then Baghdad Barbie's press conferences

Last I checked, illegal entry was a misdemeanor. I guess in MAGAland, misdemeanors mean a penalty of rendition to a foreign gulag for an indeterminate sentence.

Don't understand how anyone can support such reflexive liars. Not only are the liars pathetic, the fanboys are just as bad, for no other reason than they know the statements are lies, but they'll keep sniffing the liars' farts because it makes them warm inside.

So we have the weakest POTUS in history. Guy can't negotiate the return of someone his administration admits they shouldn't have renditioned to a foreign country. Pretty pathetic. Even Jimmy Carter was able to negotiate the release of 13 of the 65 hostages seized by Iran within 10 days. Weak.
