Protoceratops is a small ceratopsian dinosaur characterized by a large skull with a neck frill and a prominent parrot-like beak. The hindlimbs were longer than the forelimbs, and while adults were largely quadrupedal, juveniles had the capacity to walk bipedally if necessary.

The Tlatolophus was an herbivore, processing plant matter with its complex dental batteries. It grew to around 8 m in length, and was facultatively bipedal, meaning it was capable of walking or running on two legs, but normally walked on all fours.
