The sratement from this coalition is SO GOOD!

Reminder: Actors are still on strike for bare minimum guard rails on the use of AI in videogames and we have been for 11 months. We have struck longer and with less resources than our on-camera colleagues.

“Ai voices are so much cheaper than hiring voice actors” Yes, things certainly are cheaper when you steal them.

Voice acting isn't a sideshow. Stop treating its performers like sideshow talent. And those of you who have succeeded by treating it like a sideshow? Kindly start listening to the people who want it to be treated like the legitimate industry of talented performers that it is.

Hey, who here loves role announcements and games on Interim Agreements? I'm playing the lead in Big Hops, and you can back it on Kickstarter now. It's been really fun, the game is fantastic, and @luckshotgames.com has been a blast to work with. Thanks for having me aboard!

Happy Pride everyone. What I’m thinking about this Pride is, despite their attempts to make us go back in the closet, there are more of us now than ever before. They couldn’t make us go away if they tried their hardest.

"We're not anti-union, we're anti-SAG!" "It's not a strike they're just refusing to work!" "The company has every legal right to replace them!" If you're celebrating any company replacing striking workers of any kind because they are trying to unionize. Then yeah, you are in fact anti-union.

It makes me sad to watch the Genshin community spread anti-union propaganda and blatant lies about SAG-AFTRA because they are mildly inconvenienced by a character not having a voice, as if their own pleasure means more than a voice actors fucking job.

Gentle reminder for actors: If you're upset about AI replacing you, so are writers, artists, musicians, sound designers, devs & more. Maybe consider how they feel seeing actors gladly work projects with the AI art, writing, etc that has impacted them. Believe it or not we're all in this together. 🖤✨

“I just don’t know how you go around, asking everyone first. I just don’t see how that would work,” Clegg said. It's called a contract sweetie 😅

News from the world of companies using AI to cheat, lie, and steal. Share this story. It is despicable, and what’s worse, in due time it’s going to be tragically typical and unremarkable. Unless we fight them. NOW. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Guess we gotta keep up the sentiment that GenAI sucks so that more companies start to feel it.

This man was courageous enough to stand up to Trump and Vance. So it's important to post this message and photo to 27 million people. Don't just "like" it -- that only means that YOU'VE seen it. Postb it, blow it up and get it out there! #SlavaUkraini 🇺🇦

I think of posts like these every time an AI dork is like “I don’t know why we get so much hate from creatives”.

Crazy theory: MAYBE the folks who go ballistic when they don't get their way, and then warn you to stonewall anyone not on their "side" for fear of "retaliation", MIGHT be the ones you should actually be afraid of? Instead of good friends who've had your back for years? Just a thought!

They're making us a "Last Best Final Offer" we can (and must) refuse. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zws...

The barest of bare minimums we still need for a semi-safe contract. The extremely narrow definition of what an ICDR is, according to employers, still concerns me, too, as it leaves a lot uncovered. But without these 3 things, we have NO DEAL! #SAGAFTRAstrong #LevelUpTheContract

The "Last Best Final Offer" language is confusing by design, so don't feel bad if you don't get it. But do watch this so you can understand why it's predatory as hell.

If you’re still using Duolingo, this is what you’re supporting. “Duolingo’s founder and CEO Luis von Ahn believes there’s nothing a computer can’t teach—but says schools won’t go extinct because people need childcare.”

In recent weeks, video game publishers Take-Two and EA both warned investors about potential "reputational" risks to the use of gen-AI in games. It's a problem that all game companies will soon need to confront: Players hate genAI. This week's column: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

There is an infographic doing the rounds that claims that @sagaftra.org's Best, Last, Final Offer from game developers gives actors everything we want, and we need to sign it to end the strike. I know the strike has been long and brutal and tempers are high. But this infographic Has Some Issues!

Here it is, what needs to change in the Last Best and Final offer (LBFO) — all in one place. Let’s come together. Let’s get this deal done. #VideoGameStrike #SagAftraStrong

While this graphic has been making the rounds online recently, no one seems to know where this graphic comes from. Unfortunately, as was explained by SAG-AFTRA’s lawyers... at the last info meeting, the charts above is not accurate. LEARN MORE HERE!! www.instagram.com/p/DJ7sU8jO2o...

💜 EQUITY SOLIDARITY 💜 Thank you @equityuk.bsky.social for this article letting UK members know what our strike entails and how to best support our efforts. We appreciate the international solidarity! Link to full article at the end of the thread 👇 (1/4)

One of the only times I’ll willingly link to a Facebook post, to signal boost a much more through explanation of the current #voiceover #videogame contract up for negotiation, from a far more educated and experienced colleague than myself: www.facebook.com/1221024852/p... We *CANNOT* mess this up.
