US conservatives cry about the need for the 2nd amendment despite gun violence being endemic to their society. “To resist tyranny,” they claim. Yet they cheer and welcome the tyrants with open arms.
Conservatives are liars, hypocrites, cowards, and collaborators.
DO NOT FORGET.

… I urge each one of us here to reach down into that deep place of knowledge inside herself and touch that terror and loathing of any difference that lives here. See whose face it wears. Then the personal as the political can begin to illuminate all our choices.”

These “once in a century” weather events appear to be occurring with alarming regularity. Almost as if there has been some kind of change for the climate. If only we could do something.

I appreciate the concern in the current climate. I am more than happy to provide the Participant Information prior to the screening questionnaire on request. On reflection, I should have added it to the questionnaire.
I would also like to state I am not a guy.

The first link is for a screening questionnaire, not the study itself. Once folks are screened to be potential participants they will receive the Participant Information, Consent and around 1 survey. If folks are concerned or would like more information I would welcome a DM or email.

I’m sure the “independent” reviewer will be specifically chosen to get the result they want as the previous one obviously did not give them the results they wanted. They are just aching for a reason to cease all gender-affirming care.
Government small enough to police ones gender.

Puberty blockers and cross sex hormones are consistently demonstrated to be effective in reducing or eliminating distress and dysphoria related to gender presentation. There are very low rates of regret and much of the desistance that gets talked about often is due to social and family pressures.

The RBA has repeatedly stated that they would “like” to see unemployment increase before they lower rates. I have seen it frequently discussed that the low rates of unemployment are one of the drivers of inflation and that for it to be slowed there would have to be an increase in unemployment.

Avoid ad hominem and identity-based approaches if you can. Don’t criticise the identity, instead highlight the behaviours that cause harm, or are undesirable. Of course some people are not going to be willing to change regardless but others may be more willing to.

This doesn’t take into account differences of power and privilege. I am not suggesting that those who are marginalised should put more work into being compassionate and empathetic towards those who oppress them. However, those with capacity and energy can be more effective if they address behaviour.

When we engage in identity-based conflict there is no ability nor capacity for the need to be addressed. The need is not going to be resolved and if the behaviour gets the need met then it will be reinforced. Those engaging in the behaviour will seek solace in those who enable them.

Almost all behaviour stems from a need. This need may be conscious or unconscious. These needs are fairly universal, “I need to feel connection,” “I need to feel safe, “I need to feel understood,” “I need to feel okay.” At their core the needs are fine, the behaviour is where the issue lies.

By identifying and highlighting the behaviour as the issue it is more likely to get “buy in” on making changes as the individual’s personhood is not at risk. It also allows for compassion and empathy for the wrongdoer and an understanding of why they engage in the behaviour may be found.
comment in response to

When a person feels as though their identity and personhood is viewed as the problem it creates an existential crisis. “How can I change me without losing who I am?” This will lead to heavy resistance and reluctance to change. By making it a behaviour that should be changed it is easier to accept.
