Gah!! I loved this book! Blew through it in 3 days! For all you 90s loving, music loving peeps: this one is for you. It’s a gem and so compelling. (Kinda wish that Jane and Elijah, the book’s main characters, were real people, so that’s saying something!)

This was a really amazing book to read, and allowed me to define parts of my own sensitivity that I hadn’t been able to before. I particularly was fascinated by the parts around the science around sensitivity and how genetics play into it.

Season 2 of #ADifferentWorld is like a breath of fresh air. Whitley is also much nicer in just two episodes. And I also noticed that her hair is not pulled back as much, much looser as her character seems to be already. Debbie Allen really rescued this show and brought it back to life.

Wrapping up S1 of #ADifferentWorld and the last two episodes throws continuity out the window as it’s clear they were shot earlier in the season but somehow were tacked onto the end. So strange. Looking forward to Season 2 where things start to meld, thanks to Debbie Allen stepping in.

On Ep 17 of S1 of #ADifferentWorld and you can see the awkwardness of the beginning few episodes is kind of settling down. Had Lisa Bonet not been fired from the show (argh!), it’s clear that Denise and Dwayne were gonna be together. (Dwayne and Whitley ended up being epic though)

Went to see the Tina Turner musical today - travelling tour that came to Place Des Arts for the last couple of days. While the sound seemed a little low, the performances are great and of course the music is awesome. Tina is a legend, end of story.

However you feel about Cowboy Carter, it's not a controversial Grammy win. The album is probably one of the most creative ones of 2024. I did enjoy it a lot. Bottom line is that she's going to keep being creative and making albums that are 🔥- it's about time she got some flowers in a big category.
