It was painful growing up there without a cinema. Closest was in Morpeth or the Wallaw in Blyth, where I saw the Exorcist in the early 90s. Used to spend our school lunch breaks in the video hire shop on Station Road. Wish I'd known off Mik when starting in photography back then.

It's definitely worth it. That, along with Gone Fishing with Mortimer and Whitehouse (another show well worth a watch!), got my wife and I through lockdown. Wholesome TV

Once you've finished it, have a watch of the detectorists (if it's available in the US). One of the best shows of the last 10 years.

I've mainly used Nikons for 25 years. Does this reply count as an application for ambassadorship? When do I get my money and free cameras? For a time, I shot medium format primarily on Hasselblad. Can I get one of those digital ones they've been giving to the youtubers. You know the YouTubers..(etc)

I did years ago, but not so much these days. I've never pursued the followers or likes, I follow those I like or who interest me or I can learn from. It's a lot less stressful that way

Surely, we must be creeping closer to the Glastonbury 2003 set! David Gray had the sunset slot before REM took to the stage on the Friday night. My wife and I were at the festival for their 1999 headliner, too. The Flaming Lips and Radiohead were incredible on the Saturday night.

I'm up to date! Finally reached the current episode. I'd forgotten how satisfying an album Reveal actually is.

Even smaller with the BlueSky photo disfiguration, or maybe it's my phone. I'm new to the BlueSky thing. Such a shame Reuters stopped doing their Or World Now series too.

Love a good bookshelf. If this year hadn't been such a mess with unexpectedly having to move etc, I'd be adding some plenty more to the shelves. Maybe in the new year I'll treat myself!

Walking along the south bank I couldn't help but notice the prominence of St Paul's, so thought I'd capture views of it in different ways, ending in the cheesy shot at the end of the millennium bridge at night. Same 50mm lens on my beaten up old Nikon D750
