I’ve become a real convert in terms of using high quality schemes written by experts. Using Snap Science since September has really transformed our curriculum and teaching. Really supportive of workload for teachers and the subject lead. Children now love Science.

Used Comparative Judgement in my current school for the first time in staff meeting today and the discussions were great-really focused and showed their knowledge. I really believe in the power of the CJ process. The staff are amazing

This week has definitely been about technology for me. After successes with AI I then discovered the use of planner on Microsoft 365. Read about it on here and been creating ‘Buckets’ all week. Want to now use it across my team. Love it 😊

After only a small about of time inputting school info into SLTai I got out high quality relevant action plans, behaviour support plans linked to my policy,a Governor’s action plan, an extract for a newsletter etc. really impressed+ I can see the huge potential going forward 1/2

My mind is BLOWN! Just purchased SLTai and I am absolutely stunned at what it can produce.I am about 7 years off retirement as a Headteacher but decided that I need to be up to date on Ai as it will move so quickly. The potential of SLTai is vast-I am absolutely thrilled to be starting this journey!

Had a great day working with some fab teachers co delivering Instructional Coaching training. Drew on Jim Knight and Tom Sherrington’s work. I’ve missed doing this kind of work and supporting development of leaders.

Lovely evening walk with hubby and dog, feeling ready for new term and now sit with a gin. Life is good 💙🥂

@iandawson51.bsky.social Great seeing you on here: you were one of my History lecturers at Trinity (89-93) I loved my time there. Thanks for inspiring me into a lifelong career in teaching. History still my favourite subject+in my last school we achieved the History Gold QM.Central to our curriculum

Just posted new blog on Bluesky and not (yet) on Twitter. Be interesting to see engagement. Will I fold and put it on Twitter too? Please help me avoid the temptation by reposting here! primarytimery.com/2024/08/25/o...

Interesting few hours:having completed the behaviour policy I’ve been working on a draft behaviour curriculum, pulling together all we do into a more coherent form. Not taken this approach before but pleased with how it’s developing.Being more explicit on what needs to be taught will make a difference

Didn’t expect BlueSky to feel so much like Twitter. This is a good think. Looking forward to building up a network of people I follow. I love the butterfly 🦋 💙
