Reminds me of Slahi’s virtual hearings. 14 yrs in Gitmo without a charge being filed.

Not surprised this whistleblower noticed drone tracking.
Dismantling and data was always the goal with DOGE.
DOGE has access not only to “private financial and personal information on hundreds of millions of Americans”, but corporations as well. The nefarious options with that data are endless.

3/4. If we accept the idea that moving a person from one place to another undoes rights and disempowers the judiciary, we are endorsing the basic Nazism practice that enabled the killing of millions.

Great article. Good to see these topics finally showing up in more news outlets

Atwood studied a lot of history to create her book. One theme uncovered was society ignoring problems with young men, which created a backlash that allowed religious extremism to take root throughout history. Many of her views were captured in this discussion.
Knowing this is how we fight “Gilead”

Agree that he invents nothing. Buys, borrows or steals. He’s not even the brains behind the TechCoup either.
Personally, I’ve found his pitches to be looney-tunes BS for over a decade. Remember Hyperloop and the Boring Company?
America is infatuated with con artists, apparently.

“For Putin, there is no problem bigger than the US dollar, dollar hegemony, and the Federal Reserve. It underpins all of his conspiratorial gripes about the “Golden Billion” that he believes runs the world at Russia's expense.”

They purged FDIC employees last month. The program doesn’t work if there’s no one to service it in a crisis scenario.

They are destroying the economy so a new system can be put it place to “fix it”. We need to start calling it what it is: sabotage.

It’s sabotage. They are destroying the economy so a new system can be put in place to “fix it”.

We agree Citizens United destroyed the system and put billionaires in charge. We also agree Dems need major reform and new leaders. The message I posted was about fighting back, which right now, only a handful of elected officials are even trying to do.
My criticism of Dems has been scathing too.

Cognitive dissonance in epic display. It’s so hard to stay focused and grounded in this (I don’t even have words for it)
Kudos for keeping it authentic
The hardest demographic I’ve personally had to deal with is my peer-group in upper-middle class. The denial is jaw-dropping

Many critics of Booker cited the same concerns, right now this is about fighting back. This is a coup. Policies don’t have a chance for change under an authoritarian regime led by tech-fascism. On messaging, this is one of the best ads I’ve seen in a long time with “fight”

How hard is it for reporters to say what the job entailed?
“Schroeder said his dept made sure grants supported Meals on Wheels for older adults, programs that supported independent living for people with disabilities, and programs that provided heating to low-income Americans”

This roundtable is an antidote to the hijacking (of an issue we all can see in plain sight) for exploitation and ugliness by unethical men cosplaying as tech overlords, crypto kings and dictators.
It’s worth a listen in its entirety as it’s uniquely relevant to the current political landscape.

I’ve been critical of short snapshots distorting this issue in a way that infers in any way that women are at fault.
Scott offers a deep, lengthy discussion on Bsky instead, and is met with the same reaction? And we, as women, wonder why other men don’t want to chance this IRL?

…when we ask men to be vulnerable and open, and then jump down their throat when they dare discuss the issues they’re facing without investing the time to listen fully, it’s a disservice to our goals for progress.
It’s why I made the time to listen to the whole discussion.

Contrary to preconceived notions, men were largely held accountable for actions & insight around this issue. To a lesser degree, women’s roles required to bridge the divide.
As it should. The root of feminism is about equality. That includes being open to hearing feedback, so…

It had heartfelt stories about the importance of male mentorship that can help fill a void that as Scott noted, Trumpism filled with “a conflation of crassness and cruelty”.
The frustration of women was discussed at length as well. Patriarchy was acknowledged & gains we’ve made were applauded.

In context of reactions to discuss this growing problem:
Scott & Steven’s empathy, kindness, and honesty showcased courage that captured Logan’s suggestion that we can have positive definitions of a “modern masculine man”
I was surprised by answers that were both refreshingly vulnerable & strong.

Far from being a discussion only about “lost boys”, this was one of the best roundtables I’ve seen covering multiple perspectives on a complex issue.
I see criticism of “male apologists” which isn’t at all what happened in this talk. Responsibility, ownership and actions were outlined in detail.

Incredible conversation. Authentic, nuanced, fascinating. Logan offered insightful counter-balance and context to some of the stats or assumptions that often create knee-jerk reactions.
I can see from the comments ppl didn’t invest the 2+ hrs to listen, but criticized, and that’s the point...

Once you get in deep on Opus Dei, you’ll want to take a vacation to decompress, LOL.

…and/but the reason it’s complex is that inside of the TechCoup, they are varying “end times” philosophies. Where they intersect with traditional religious views, you can find the most alignment

I did too until I learned about the intersection of the various TechCoup “end times” philosophies and P2025. It’s, complex, but easier to view in context of how a one-time Senator got the VP ticket through Peter Thiel
Unlike Musk, he’s a true believer

I don’t view that as a cynical nor detached observation. The lack of emotion for months from our reps has been disturbing.
“Following norms” as our country is gutted is detached. Cynicism is any rep thinking they have a career to protect in an authoritarian regime
Humanity gets attention 🔥

I don’t use Facebook but my friends in rural areas still use it a lot - so we need to fight against the tech shenanigans on all public platforms. We don’t obey in advance.
