Discovery wafted this post my way. Glad it did. Your album is amazing. Will be wafting some vinyl my way too I reckon.

Weirdly bumped into one of the other ones (May) in a pub in Islington. He sat in the beer garden alone all night. I went to the bar and scooched in alongside him to ensure service and he gave me a look that could have turned milk sour. Err, that's pretty much it :)

I once stood in front of Ruud Gullit in a lunch queue in an Italian deli. As I got hold of my sandwich he nodded approvingly and I nodded back, whether to say "I know" or "I hope you choose equally wisely" or just to go "O my god, Ruud Gullit" neither I, nor posterity will ever truly know.

Jurasik and Katsulas elevate B5 from merely excellent to sublime.

Will expect the BBC to be debating this all week then.

Accurate, except the labour supporters are mainly either "WTF" or "Told you so"

There obviously is an Israeli lobby, and it's very important for them to try to control the narrative, but I think we overestimate how much governments actually care. In the US I honestly think a bunch of crazies hoping to usher in the rapture have more sway than AIPAC.
comment in response to post
There are a whole raft of interests in the US that coincide over Israel. The rest of the Western world are just not rocking the boat with the US. If the US abandoned Israel the other governments would turn on Israel in a second.

Ha ha, I thought exactly the same thing, that would have been quite the brand damage!!!

If you fold a piece of paper in half enough times it will reach the moon, fact!

Secret of Mana was my first love. I'd probably recommend Sea of Stars as a modern, accessible, user friendly, great looking game.

Always reassuring that I did a good job filtering out and no longer need to suffer the idiots. Thank you blue sky.

Tyrannical means "allow gay marriage" not "put brown people in concentration camps"

By especially hellish does he mean, like, the mantle, or above the stratosphere? In which case I guess he's not technically wrong, though not sure what the historical record of subsistence farming in either of those places is.

You're probably right, but noone has bothered trying to explain. Polls have consistently shown that people are pretty OK with skilled immigration, so asylum seekers get chucked under the bus as a sop to racism. Its disgusting but they all do it.
comment in response to post
That said, politicians never sold it, just expected people to lump it. I think if they pointed at Japan and Korea, vanishing towns with no services, incredible demographic issues and catastrophic fiscal decisions, people would better understand why immigration.
comment in response to post
Its been going on for donkeys years. I still don't know what "legitimate concerns" about immigration are.

I actually thought about one. They're so good looking. But too big and range not good enough.

It was pretty dramatic before the qar there. Tbh most countries would without immigration. Japan is predicted to drop 30 million over the next 30 years

Rapidly regretting giving examples, should just have left it at "ireland isn't full" ;)

Honestly, the crocodiles in the Barrow this summer is quite something.

I should add I'm in Ireland, not Egypt 😅

I'm literally looking out of my window and can see miles of countryside and about 9 houses.
comment in response to post
That's not how population density is worked out. Also Ireland, quite famously, isn't desert.
comment in response to post
Not to mention a low population density behind such cramped and as notoriously full countries as Ukraine, Egypt and Kenya.

The traditional English colloquialism for pointing out a double entendre is "fnarr fnarr".
