Thanks. Bit scared with this job market, but you do or die, I guess.

Well, at least I got five gold tier crew members out of this.

Yeah, I'm not watching all of these scenes.

Is this supposed to be funny?

My biggest gripe with LAD Gaiden was that the substories were kinda weak. Pirate Yakuza has already improved on that a ton.

Phew, it's just the "researcher" being a fucking weirdo.

I'm enjoying the gameplay of Pirate Yakuza as well as finally playing as Majima again. But the story is pretty dumb.

But yeah, the stories in the Like a Dragon series have always been a vibes thing. You can't think too deeply on any of it.

Plus, it's possible to outgrow it. It's hardly guaranteed, but you never know. I had asthma as a kid, and now I can jog five miles without stopping. It's not a goddamn death sentence.

And doesn't the kid just have asthma? Yes, you can die from it, but it's hardly "I must sail the seven seas to find the magical cure-all" serious. Nor is it "I will tear my son away from civilization and bum it on some remote island" serious. Like WTF?

Story went nowhere, overuse of the reset mechanic sucked the tension out of the plot. Hell, made some scenes downright hilarious. Act 3 overstayed its welcome, but so did the Nemeth Island section. Relied too much on having to fight our allies over and over. Terrible villains.

Look at me, I let Shizuna intimidate someone rather than scold them. I'm SO morally grey, tee hee.

Plus, you only ever get to make alignment choices in side stories where they (mostly) don't matter. Yeah, I know, meaningful choices in the main story would be too difficult to wrangle. But that's my point: Van isn't morally grey. He just gets to "act up" when the stakes are low.

Kinda reminds me of how often Berseria tries to convince you that Velvet is not a good person only to fail at it. It's one of the reasons why I don't adore Berseria like a lot of JRPG fans seem to.

"There must have been two bombs!"
What? Why didn't you check both cars? This is so dumb.
