The government is boringly competent right now....so they have to go. The media are desperate for a return to a Johnson style circus when political journalism was on easy mode.

It's the same strategy Farage employed in Europe. Refuse to engage then complain when nothing gets done. In 4 years time, all the resulting pot holes, bin strikes, and crumbling buildings will be firmly blamed on the government.

This kind of hyperbole doesn't serve anyone. Calling the Labour fascist simply because you disagree with the decisions they have taken (on a post about lifting kids out of poverty no less) is every bit as harmful to our democracy as those on the right who seek to weaponise xenophobia.

Not really, the US should also be flinging its feces at all the other athletes (except Russia).

My theory is that he cheated in the last election too, but was too subtle. That's why he was so upset that he lost. So this time he went big to avoid that happening again.

Seen a few posts to that effect recently. Dismissed it as clear Russian propaganda.

If you want to judge the quality of a leader, look at how other nations view them. They're not exposed to the constant stream of bile from domestic media.

Your leader is kissing ass, he was just in Russia doing just that.

Using Trump's reasoning - Winston Churchill was also a dictator.

It was a strange mix of people being brainwashed, and people who thought they were sticking it to the establishment....sound familiar?

Why should taxpayers fund WASPI compensation when the pension age equality changes were announced with over 15 years' notice? Plenty of time to plan. Many of us face uncertain retirements, I can only dream of retiring before 65.

Nope, the idiots would just buy the updated version and double Trumps merch profits.

It does, the current proposal is two independent doctors and a judge, who has the option to meet with the patient.

If I promise to take my wife to her favorite restaurant on Saturday, but it burns down on Friday, have I lied to her? Or is it simply that circumstances beyond my control have prevented me from keeping my word?

Of course they did, gotta get people tuning in somehow. It's been a lean 4 years but Trump is like journalism on easy mode.

If the WFA cut off is too tight, then why was no one complaining about the pension credit cut off? As it's exactly the same.

Iain Dale literally tried to become a Tory MP at the last election.
