3/2? Ran out of space! If you go to the travel.state.gov website, you can search for a passport application facility near you. Usually your local post office or your library (like me!). When in doubt, contact your local facility for guidance and assistance.

2/2 Even if you don’t have documents that meet these criteria, don’t panic. Sending additional documents such as school id, work id, non-driver id, etc., helps establish identity and evidence that you are the person applying for the passport and is common in the application process. Oop. Hold on.

1/2 That’s okay! If you’ve moved to a state that neighbors your previous state, your driver’s license should be sufficient as your ID. If not, don’t worry! Secondary and supplemental ID can support your identity for passport applications!

2/2 if your name has changed from your previous passport, you’ll have to submit the original court order of the name change or a certified copy of the court order when mailing your application. They will mail original documents back to you of course.

1/2 Expedition shouldn’t be an issue. However, if the previous passport was a minor passport and/or your name is different, that can change the process and what documents you need. As long as you qualify for renewal (there’s a questionnaire to see if you qualify on the Ds-82 form)
