Whenever I see someone advocate Borda as the "best" voting system, it's a clear tell that they don't know a lot about voting systems. Borda is so easily gamed via Burial that it would be obvious after one or two real world elections.

Jameson, what's your opinion of MES? See equalshares.net . Seems to me the approval variant could be adapted to work with PLACE instead of using an STV like approach, and would give PLACE theoretical support via priceability, etc.

He's not suggesting we go to the surface of Venus. It's possible to float a balloon colony miles high where the pressure is 1atm, the temp is a few degrees C, and the winds circulate about 1x/earth day.
