I can’t figure out if you are talking about a customer you had, or if this is a fitting metaphor for DOGE.

Everyone always thinks they’re the exception. “Oh I get this one thing that I really like from Amazon” “I’m in the middle of this one TV show on Amazon Prime!” “But it’s cheaper on Amazon”
And so we have a hundred million exceptions.

Not fuckin enough. Cancel your subscription and don’t use them.
I haven’t had Amazon for over a year now. Do I miss a few things? Yea. That’s a small price to pay to avoid funding the bad guys.

There are two trains of thought in the people sitting in those chairs:
1. Aww what a nice song
2. Are we about to get ‘Red Wedding’d?

We have the technology to make that happen.

BUT it’s bad deal making to break a deal after you make it. Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons in exchange for our protection. Now our allies know that their deals with us go only as far as we benefit. We won’t keep a promise if it’s expensive to do so.

Those two reasons are some real silver linings on that thundercloud. You bring up a good point that the economic circumstances are (fortunately) likely to make our Dear Leader actually support them.
comment in response to

Not to mention they already made a deal with us for this military aid. They gave up nuclear weapons in that agreement. To go back and demand more now isn’t fair and weakens every other treaty we have.

After reading that, I think he’s right. It’s time for all of us to do Nazi salutes. Very well spoken and convincing arguments. Obviously he has thought deeply about this and it’s not a list of super generic talking points with little basis in reality.

This is his modus operandi! Find or invent a problem where there isn’t one, assign the blame to the people he’s trying to blame, use lots of CAPS.

I’m just always doing the specific companies part. Shitty companies don’t get my business, or as little of it as possible. Local game stores, local plant stores, local groceries.

Everything about this question bothers me!
The name of the table is probably the least important thing about the table.
The name of the table could easily be confused by someone who was familiar with what it is and how it works, since three of the answers are so similar.

Just purple for now. I had a pink one that does before I could get the propagations going, and I’m always keeping an eye out for more variations! I’ll keep you posted as they get bigger but most of these are heading to a plant trade in the spring!

Right, well I think most people are going to interpret ‘old car’ as like 10-20 years old, not sixty. And most people aren’t psychic.

That’s not a fair summary of their discussion. That’s what you hear when they don’t agree with your preexisting opinion.
I’ll be the first to criticize Musk when he (often) earns it. But as these guys said in their little show, the whole thing just doesn’t make sense to me.
