One Democrat President kept his detail, and one Republican nixed it. However, the overwhelming sentiment on this very app has been, "Oh well, he gets what he gets." It may be odd to point out what even a cursory review of the comments say...but Imma say it anyways.

I know Dems/Liberals disdain Bolton, but pulling his protection while there are credible threats against his life is wrong. Thinking otherwise is a problem.

Picking and choosing which laws we want to follow and which we don't, weakens the ones that will come under intense pressure. Seeking asylum is legal. But as of now today the app to apply for asylum is no longer. Using TikTok today means something it didn't mean on Friday.

I've been thinking about this question since I left my reply and in light of the Executive Orders occurring this hour. Another lens to view this through is TikTok as it currently stands is breaking the law. That's why it's not in the app store. In the coming years, Trump will test the Rule of Law.

It worth asking, is this creating a false sense of "doing something" but really just reaching people who never would agree with you in that format or people who already agreed. TikTok does present real security risks and unlike Meta or Google are not under the jurisdiction of the US.

On theroy, of course trying to educate the masses, fight misinformation is inherently good and a noble pursuit. I wonder if you could survey your audience and see if your efforts have changed or influenced anyone's behavior. That algorithm shows people what they want.

I know it's a fun app. I know it's easy to scroll and scroll, but get off that app. I deleted it once it came back up. It's not what you are being fed, it's what you are not hearing about. Salt Typhoon for example.

Anyone on TikTok after last night is willingly ingesting pure unadulterated mind-control media meant to pacify and distract.

At this point, I self deleted. Whatever that is...I don't want it.

Boom, what? People going into hostile territory should be applauded. The "omg he did what" might have worked in 2016, but in 2025, we need people willing to whisper into the ears of the other side. That can only happen by playing nice.

I deleted it. It came back on, and it was unnerving. Congress passed a law, our president signed the law, and our SCOTUS affirmed the law. And yet...none of it mattered.

I just deleted TikTok on my own when I saw this post on that platform. I also deleted Threads and Instagram. Something is happening, it feels like the water is starting to boil and we are happy we got our pacifier back.
