Which further reinforces the misconception because it’s only human to make mistakes.

“Data-driven policing” is just a count of when and where crime occurs. The difference between business intelligence and excel reporting is $50k.

No, they would have killed two of their own to show they were under attack. Instead they’ll say it’s a Dem false flag.

We can parse DOJ logic all we want, but the boots on the ground aren’t legal scholars. They rely on expertise of top military brass. Detaining a civilian isn’t unreasonable on its face, and *the entire hierarchy* told them it’s legal. Reserve blame for commanders, not the soldiers.

The current “sanctuary” policy is to call ICE and say, “we have this guy in custody and here’s when he’s being released. If you want him come get him.” We operate as normal, ICE gets a heads up *as a courtesy*. Win-win. But nah, that’s too easy. This timeline is so fucking stupid.

But ICE wants to take up unlimited space for 48 hours. If a robber is arrested and there’s no room in 201 because it’s full of immigrants, what are we supposed to do, shrug our shoulders and send him on his merry way because ICE is taking their sweet time?

Shelby County was under federal injunction to reduce the jail population after overcrowding led to grievous inmate injuries. We already have to pick and choose who stays in.

(Not saying they should get doxxed, but I’m surprised the internet at large hasn’t tracked them down for a good doxxing.) (Not saying that anyone deserves to get doxxed, but I won’t cry for them if they are.)

“Don’t want to get doxxed” - dude, real LEOs don’t worry about that. They own their lawful actions. They don’t get doxxed when they’re doing their legitimate job. Fucking cowards.

It’s lose-lose for the people. Submit or give them an excuse to light the powder keg.

If the officer dies as a result of a victim justifiably defending themselves, the govt can call it capital murder. Death penalty. Not to mention the excuse for ICE to use lethal force against anyone who defends the victim - completely innocent bystanders going above and beyond.

All of the links go to screenshots of the studies, not the actual studies themselves. Wonder what context is in there that contradicts his argument 🤔

How anyone can see a sample size of 1,000+ and not call BS is beyond me.

I went from browsing abstracts in the library to searching for papers on worldcat to refining keywords on a search engine. It’s what we’ve been doing all along, just more efficient. It’s like a calculator to solve a math word problem - you have to know what to ask it to get the right answer.

(Obligatory statement that Memphis has the best drinking water in the world, straight from the Memphis Sand aquifer. We brag about it to no end and defend it like a rabid dog.)

They will also invoke the “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere” rule for crimes between 5:01 and 8:59
