The way the government has dealt with this in the past is to hire a ton of contractors. Contractors already massively outnumber federal employees.

I look forward to reading this as so many people in my family & friends who grew up fundy Baptist have been sucked into the RW ecosystem for decades yet faithfully read Scripture and desire to honor God with their lives. It's been hard for me to understand how they don't see the disconnect.

Independent and Democratic contenders for 2026 open seats need to start doing town halls NOW. Some of us have GOP reps that won't do town halls and I'd like to see who I can replace ours with.

Normally, I like it when Ezra interviews people who are ideologically opposite to him. This time though, I wasn't sure why Gurri was brought on as he didn't seem to make a point that was insightful. Some of it was downright delusional. I got a little over halfway through and was DONE.

Our church is asking these ?s as we're designing a new gathered worship space. Not "black box"; rather, creating a beautiful space that fosters reverent, vibrant, liturgical
worship using natural light, wood grain, lighter paint colors & high ceilings. I'm hoping for stained glass windows too!

Mine too. VA healthcare worker. Received a text from his boss that everyone needs to respond by the deadline. So he's going in on his day off *just* to answer the email.

When our pastor invites those who haven't received Christ or been baptized to come forward, they are asked to cross their arms over their chest so a prayer of blessing can be prayed over them. They do the same for the young children. Beautiful.

That's what our bread servers--pastors, deacons & lay people--say when we serve the Eucharist each Sunday. Wine servers say "This is the blood of Christ shed for you" & I tack on, "because he loves you."
Looking someone in the eye & saying those words gets me choked up at times. Deep & profound.

It’s the same methodology boosted by the same people.
Crawl through a bunch of stuff, find something that seems outrageous, make an online mob lose their minds. Destroy work, upend lives. Get it totally wrong, move to the next thing.
This time it’s not online governance, it’s actual government.
