You know what’s really fabulous? When life is crazy, but then you get an awesome card with some goodies from @gemasterswrites.bsky.social because you’re on her street team. ❤️ BTW, her book When Flowers Wilt will be free on 2/26 for SYK—Sapphic Edition. Get it, then buy the sequel! 🤘🏻 #sapphfic 🌈📚

I don’t know what others do, but when everything feels like it’s imploding I bury myself in books. 48 days into 2025 and I’ve finished the @iheartsapphfic.bsky.social reading challenge and most of @jaeauthor.bsky.social’s. Sooo…anyone got a good #sapphfic “watching fireworks together” suggestion? 🌈📚

If you like futuristic sapphic romance set in space, with a bit of mystery and some great characters, I’ve got a book for you. The Fleet Admiral’s Daughter is an impressive debut from J.A. Gaudio, and it’s out today. Check it out! 🌈📚

I’ve loved everything I’ve read by @emilyraustin.bsky.social, and We Could Be Rats was no exception. It’s out today, so go check it out! Oh, and here’s my ARC review if you’re interested. There are some triggers in this one, so check them if you’ve got them.

I’m such a nerd. I set the action button on my iPhone to open Libby, which…yeah, but it’s one of my most used apps, and l organize them into folders. Then I got even *nerdier* and built a shortcut for the action button, so now I can select which bookish app I want to open. #ilovebooks #sapphfic 🌈📚

Hey hey it’s release day for The Relationship Mechanic by @authorkarmenlee.bsky.social! I was lucky to get an ARC and read it back in November, so here’s my review. Really enjoyed book 2 in this trilogy about sisters finding love in their small Georgia town. Can’t wait for book 3! ❤️ #sapphfic 🌈📚

The car won. And the teen too, I suppose, since he’s now got a shiny new upgrade from his 3-year-old phone. 🤷🏻‍♀️

6 days/8 books into the new year, but now I’m back to the real world of meetings and spreadsheets. Sigh. Why can’t I just spend all my time reading and listening to audiobooks? #sapphfic 🌈📚

Sometimes I think maybe I read too much and I should go do something else for a while. Then I laugh and open another sapphic novel. 🌈📚

If you read 1 book or 500, you’re amazing and doing a great job. If you didn’t read any that’s great too, you do you. Now, since I finished my last two books for 2024 just before midnight, it’s time to decide what to start to kick off this year’s reading! The only guarantee: it’ll be #sapphfic 🌈📚

It’s release day for the second book in the Loch & Key series by @alysonrootauthor.bsky.social! Waiting for Eternity is awesome, and you should give it a go—after you read Risking Immortality, of course. 😉 Here’s my ARC review if you want to check it out. #lesfic 🌈📚

Day 31: favorite sapphic novel read in December. Since I picked the other days prior, I wanted to give this months’s reads a fair shake. I ended up finishing 45 books. Oof. Factoring in my rules I was left with 32 tough choices, but I’m going with Consecrated Ground by @virginiablack.bsky.social 🌈📚

Heyo, @iheartsapphfic.bsky.social announced the categories for their 2025 Reading Challenge! I’ve updated my reading spreadsheet for next year (yes, I’m a nerd), and I’ve I created a @thestorygraph.com challenge for anyone who wants to use it to track their books or find ideas. Happy reading! 🌈📚

Day 30: favorite sapphic friends to lovers romance. This trope is the one of the best to me, I love it when a friendship turns into something deeper. On the Same Page by @authorhaleycass.bsky.social is my favorite of her books, and my top friends to lovers of this year. The audiobook is fabulous! 🌈📚

Day 29: favorite sapphic witchy novel. I tried to see how many sapphic novels with witches/magic I’ve read this year and lost count at 50, but The Poisons We Drink by @storysorcery.bsky.social is my pick for favorite of the bunch. I really dug the characters and the dark urban fantasy feel. 🌈📚

Day 28: favorite sapphic romance with older MCs. A lot of lesfic features younger protagonists, but there are some really excellent books out there that have two MCs closer to my age. Um. Yeah. *Ahem.* My favorite from this year was Beowulf for Cretins by @annmcman.bsky.social. 🌈📚

Day 27: favorite sapphic pirates. I didn’t write a review of this one, but the Ballad of Jacquotte Delahaye by Briony Cameron was a really interesting sapphic telling of a legendary pirate captain who supposedly sailed the Caribbean in the 17th century (but most likely didn’t actually exist). 🌈📚

Day 26: favorite sapphic book ARC/ALC. I had 56 ARC/ALCs this year, so there was a lot of competition. Some were eliminated because I chose the book or author for other categories or they were released this month, but of the rest The Flying Kite by Jasmin Joachims takes the top spot. 🌈📚

Day 25: favorite sapphic holiday romance. I picked all the themes and books (except 31) before December started, but I left this one a bit more up in the air. I’ve finished a handful more that fit in the category, but I’m sticking with my initial pick of Take a Chance by @itsclastev.bsky.social. 🌈📚

Day 24: favorite sapphics in space. I feel like I haven’t seen much about Where Starlight Burns by Alicia Haberski, but I absolutely loved it. I didn’t know much about it when I picked it up, but it was a surprisingly cozy novel with a delightful MC who finds joy in the small things. 🌈📚

Day 23: favorite sapphic audiobook. A Breathless Place by Harper Bliss, narrated by the indomitable @abbycraden.bsky.social, is a flat out masterpiece. There’s a big potential trigger here so make sure to read the blurb/content note if you’re planning to check it out, but it is so worth it. 🌈📚

Day 22: favorite sapphic ice queen romance. @leewinteroz.bsky.social is the queen of ice, but her books are usually serious and a bit dark. Vengeance Planning for Amateurs, in contrast, is super funny and really shows off how versatile an author Winter actually is. I loved the audiobook! 🌈📚

Day 21: favorite sapphic historical romance. Technically the 2nd in a series, The Perks of Loving a Wallflower by @ericaridley.bsky.social can be read as a standalone if you’re not interested in the het stories. The Wynchester siblings solve mysteries and help people, all while falling in love. 🌈📚

Merry Christmas to me! 😍

Day 20: favorite dystopian sapphic novel. The Space Between Worlds by @micaiahjohnson.bsky.social was such an interesting concept and so well executed. Cara was a great character, and I loved the storytelling. I haven’t read the sequel yet (Those Beyond the Wall), but it’s definitely on my TBR. 🌈📚

Day 19: favorite sapphic second chance romance. Chasing Stars is the final installment in the Three Rivers trilogy, and what a fabulous conclusion. I love the whole Rivers family, and Clover is no exception (although Trish is my favorite, TBH). Disclaimer that I was an ARC reader for this one. 🌈📚

Day 18: favorite sapphic novel written by a Black author. Had a dozen or so options for this one, some of which I picked for other categories, but I thoroughly enjoyed Outdrawn by Deanna Grey. I didn’t quite give it 5⭐️, for reasons I explain, but it’s stuck with me and for that it’s my pick. 🌈📚

Day 17: favorite sapphic action/adventure. A Pirate’s Life for Tea by @rebeccathorne.bsky.social isn’t a serious, high stakes adventure, so if that’s the kind of adventure you want you’ll need to look elsewhere. It’s cozy, sweet and fun, and I loved it. The audiobook was fabulous! Series book 2. 🌈📚

Day 16: favorite sapphic single parent romance. The whole Bright Falls series is awesome, but Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashely Herring Blake was definitely my favorite, and my favorite in this category. As a single lesbian mom, it just hit all the right buttons for me. 🌈📚

Day 15: favorite sapphic romance ARC released today! (Yes, yes, this is the last one I swear, everything else is themed.) If Unbroken by Kim Pritekel hadn't been the default for today's book, it probably would have been my top pick for favorite sapphic historical romance coming later this month. 🌈📚

Day 14: favorite sapphic book with a neurodivergent MC. This was a tough category, I read a lot of great books with great ND characters this year, but ultimately I decided my favorite was Interesting Facts About Space by Emily Austin. Her writing style isn’t for everyone, but I love it. 🌈📚

Day 13: favorite sapphic horror novel! It is Friday the 13th after all. Rules for Vanishing by Kate Alice Marshall was so good, and I freaked myself out so much listening to the audiobook on my daily walk when I went after dark, that I had to stop listening until after I got home again. 🌈📚
