This is authoritarian-lite. He is mostly, though not entirely, cosplaying with executive orders. He is doing things to undermine the courts. He is working on the military. He still has a lot of work to do to create an effective repressive apparatus. He is meeting resistance. The fight is still on.

What idiot would invest in building anything in America under this regime?

I hear you and as a GenXer am inclined to agree because I am older. BUT as a GenXer I like that they are at least doing something together in the real world and I also remember punk rock. This stuff in the theater actually might be a sign that kids are still being kids.

I'll gladly concede. Either way, he's a wreck.

Not dementia. Demented, yes. But not dementia.

These orders are illegal and all a way to grab headlines and make Americans think he has the authority to do these things. He doesn't. It's a photo-op. The danger is people start to think he does have the authority. Perhaps they already do.

It does self select. Having a billion dollars is in itself immoral. It's beyond greedy and narrow minded.

El Salvador won't give him up and the Trump regime will just shrug. "What can we do?"

Yeah, hard to say. Carrots and sticks for sure. I just think many of them are so twisted and sick that they get an inherent sense of pleasure out of being cruel to those weaker than them and subservient to those more powerful than them l. I think that is a major psychological draw. Sociopaths.

He doesn't need leverage. They enjoy the dynamic.

I see that the race is tightening, though. Please tell me you are certain the liberals will win.

Does he really have a chance?

I haven't bought a thing from Amazon in months but was running low on books I wanted to read and worried I might have to use them at some point. Your suggestion is helpful.

Jokes on him. Americans don't read books anymore anyway! We are immune from book censorship.

He wasn't batshit crazy. He was fucking awful, but at least those that voted for him were not utterly brain dead to do so. He was twisted, and reactionary, but he actually wanted to work on America's behalf, in his own way. He wasn't a proud rapist. Trump is from another planet.

He will keep up the scam until markets stop responding to his words. There is still money to be made, though eventually he will have to move onto some other grift. This sure was a juicy one for the old orange geezer!

She only won because the GOP guy was a nazi. That guy now works for Tusi Gabbard and was involved in Signalgate. The problem is with the district who finds these people appealing. Agree though. Better to have someone that is decent than just another idiot.
