You don't turn into a whole new person when you turn thirty. You're still all the people you were before. You don't have to give up fanfic or sell your toy collection or whatever else you think will make you more "adult." Time makes you adult. You need to make you happy.

But I also think parents/grandparents see the award sticker and think it's a promise that their personal kid will like the book. Which is a totally different thing than the quality of writing or illustration! Or even that said kid should like the book because it's a Good Book
