With everything so seemingly terrible these days & no sign of anything remotely hopeful in the near future, I thought you might need this photo of a baby giraffe.

Hey Mark, take a look at Japanese flying dwarf squirrels.

Iβm one upping you. My Pippy, who uses my shoulder as her hinder rest to smudge up my windows with her nose and bark at anything that dare move. This is after she has stolen my shoe. Good luck finding a pair to wearβ¦.
Yes poodles are very smart! Did you know that Standard Poodles were used in Allied warfare? Some still serve today. You don't want to mess with a Standard on a mission!
Hey Mark, Ron here, you may not remember me but I played Chewbacca in Empire Strikes Back.
Love the pic, and baby giraffes and that you're trying to cheer us all up by sharing this - but sadly it also reminds me of how Trump doesn't care if they all die:
If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Brevard Zoo in Florida, you get to interact with the beautiful creatures. The bird experience is also amazing.
That's what our first grandchild called them ... more than a generation ago now ... He was so excited to go see the "Long Necks" (he tried giraffe a couple times, then Long Necks is what they were from then on)
Olie she brought all the boys to the yard peak covid stay home times.
No sports but the Turkey fights in the Front yard! They would fight while 6 girls ate birdseed and looked at the fools, filling bellies! Lol
They would strut for the big girl Olie 35 lbs! Had to put her on a diet to 25 lbs.
a total sweetie. Especially if you had carrot nibs. (her favorite treat. If ever I started prepping carrots she'd know and the tips were HERS. she very politely demanded them by sitting next to the veggie prep station with those puppy eyes.)
Thanks Mark, it's beautiful. Made my day today! ππΎπ€ Don't forget that Mon is Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Nothing else can take his DayππΎβ€οΈ
Thatβs awesome! Iβm glad it made your day! Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is definitely a special one to remember. Itβs all about reflecting on the changes that come with aging and valuing the person inside, just like he did. Got any plans for the day? π
Very much appreciate the baby giraffe, but I hope you donβt mean the preamble. Many things to worry about, but many good things too. Read Steven Pinker and other sober work on the good stuff. We need to take it all in to be of use. ππ»
Did you know that a giraffe has the same number of vertebrae in their necks as humans do? Of course, I canβt think of where else vertebrae would be. So now Iβm not sure if thatβs impressive or not. π€
Well thereβs still the whole super long neck thing. So Iβve decided that it is still impressive. π€·ββοΈ
Detroit Zoo circa 1972. A family walking around and out of no where at the Giraffe enclosure, whamβ two giraffes mating. Full on. In the air leg spread. The works.

Yeah, we are all feeling the same way that we might be in for the longest four year run yet. But Iβm one of those who have hope and choose to see the light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully we will come out of this to a much better place as a country.
Well at least we found where all the nice people hang out. Its pretty peaceful here when you learn to block all the jerk trollers who come in just to harass people. I like reading the science, music and art feeds here. No flat-earthers, anti-vaxers or other idiots.
My heart aches for you guys, but it's really not the end of the world. I've written this yesterday, it might help π https://medium.com/p/e5136cf5d36a
Please take care of yourself, be there for yourself first. Give the mind some rest, maybe take a break from the news for a little while. Focus on small things in your life you can be grateful for. You'll soon find your energy and joy again. One day at a time π
Thank you for this! Recognizing the pain we all will be subjected to but also recognizing the Rebellion was based on hope and a common cause. I heard my marching orders from President Biden. This gal isnβt bowing to Emperor Putin and Darth Trump
My granddaughter, now an adult, grabbed onto her new giraffe toy as a toddler and to this day that is her fave animal. At the zoo when she was three she tried her best to sneak in the giraffe enclosure.
Cute! In spite of the pending political doom and gloom, animals will always have cute babies to make us smile. Their lives will go on, and they donβt give a snort about what goofball felon IQ45 does! Letβs be like animals!πππππ₯°
All good. She doesnβt care and I didnβt specify. LoL
I win it until my coffee is ready because I have to walk by where I put her food on the way to my chair. πΉ
He is such a cute boy, is he all grown up now? I have a chihuahua, heβs been with me for many years now, sadly Iβve lost all of his baby pictures. Is your Boston Terrier a pure or mixed breed?

The youngest grandkids are getting close to double digits.
No sports but the Turkey fights in the Front yard! They would fight while 6 girls ate birdseed and looked at the fools, filling bellies! Lol

A visitor for Olie Girl a Big Boy.
- the noise my throat involuntarily made when I saw this pic
Danke
Adorable
Lol
Thank you, Mark. π
Thank you for you.
Realizing the first baby giraffe Iβve ever seen was shown to me by Mark Hamill.
Whatβs left in life?
Well thereβs still the whole super long neck thing. So Iβve decided that it is still impressive. π€·ββοΈ
You can find any species of animal, it's a virtual *zoo*, you can even watch bald eagles hatch & get fed 24/7
Absolutely. Nothing.
My dad took some pics that day I can tell you.

Then I remember WTF is going on in front of our eyes.
But it is an adorably sweet picture. I love giraffes and their cat-like rough tongues.
And that 20' long scarf (OK So I exaggerate a bit)
