Lil Wayne - Tha Carter VI (2025)
uhh. this was pretty bad. i like wayne so this was pretty disappointing. the production is definitely the worst part - well, the track with both mgk *and* kodak black on it is actually the worst part actually...

Alvvays - Antisocialites (2017)
i definitely enjoyed this, but there's a huge difference between this and the *phenomenal* blue rev, imo. its interesting and amazing to see how their sound has evolved

its a unique, humanist philosophy, based on incremental change, democracy, and living a quiet life. while simultaneously seeing a flotilla of warships, armed to the teeth pointing at you, and saying "all is well". its deeply fascinating

(mild worldbuilding spoilers below)
also its just an interesting ideology to explore. despite ostensibly representing 'centrism' and the status quo, it doesnt really map onto centrism here in the west at all. neoliberalism is already represented in DE as ultraliberalism, and its not that either

1999 WRITE THE FUTURE - hella (˃̣̣̥╭╮˂̣̣̥) ✧ ♡ ‧º·˚ (2024)
extremely eclectic smorgasbord of songs and a djkhaled-level amount of featured artists. also utterly ridiculous track names - if you told me *rick ross* was on a track called LiGhT rAiLs *ੈ✩‧₊˚ i straight up would not believe you!

however, the vocals... i don't know. obviously this comes from a very raw place, but a lot of the time they aren't very compelling and the lyrics are often kind of trite. definitely an album for the *artist* first and foremost imo

Rob Scallon - Crowded Rooms (2024)
it's hard to rate something so personal like this - this album is about rob's struggles with bipolar disorder and his diagnosis. it has a solid emotional core, and the guitar work and instrumentals are very good as you'd expect given rob's catalogue.

are able to offer that sort of thing the best - i've played baldur's gate 3 like 6 times differently each time.
for jprgs where you get a large amount of party members to pick and choose it's a lot of fun to do multiple playthroughs with a different setup too,

i'm sure you can type this question into google yourself instead of asking me because i'm not an expert...
i said this specifically because i've been obsessed with disco elysium again, and this is my 5th time playing it and i'm still discovering new things about it! i think generally crpgs

Little Simz - Lotus (2025)
simz drop!!!! i think this is my favorite from her so far. the second half especially is SO strong. i really like the versatility of moods and themes on display here. also sampha features on this so you can say bias - but the tracks about mental health and
