I flew Hobart to Auckland yesterday and felt very safe…

Brownlee saying MPs can't call Aotearoa Aotearoa. Racist as well #nzqt

“In a sermon this morning, [Brian] Tamaki told followers he gave instructions to the church elder in charge of the protest action. ‘I want you to storm the library they’re in and shut it down.’” This is stochastic terrorism from a violent hate group. #nzpol

Stealing the plagiarism machine would make a good steampunk story plot.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a declassified World War II-era CIA guide to sabotaging fascism in the workplace has become one of the most popular free ebooks on the internet: www.404media.co/declassified...

For the young 'uns, Simeon Brown was the inaugural president of the Auckland University Pro Life (anti abortion, anti women, anti healthcare) Club in the 2010s. His selection by National was a clear red flag of where they'd be going politically.

US doesn’t need to force a TikTok sale if they just reroute traffic to Meta.

Some wharves are constructed so that the front doesn’t fall off at all.

After years of talking to Trump supporters my view of them has become very simple: They want socialist, even sometimes progressive reforms but they want them from someone who makes those reforms feel powerful and masculine and they want to make sure the people they don't like don't benefit from them

One of @nzstuff's unscientific polls is in the link. You know what to do. #nzpol www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/3503...

Environment Minister Penny Simmonds: “I was not provided any specific advice or evidence from any agency to support my statement." Marnie Prickett exposes how so much National Party policy is being made against good evidence: www.thepress.co.nz/nz-news/3503... #nzpol

Wow I can't believe how old the GOP's presidential candidate is.

This is not the dumbest joke in the world This is just a tribute

So water bills go up the same day we get tax cuts. Awesome. #taxcuterosion

Absolutely wild line. Willis trumpeting her incompetence. “I have no idea about outcomes my government pretends to be fixated on” #nzpol

$57 for a trailer WoF. Tell me again with a straight face that I’m paying less lax.

Hopefully this is Trump’s art school acceptance.

Happy to have an item about misrepresented finances interrupted by the Trump conviction.

Also, Nicola Willis is wrong. Then again, I suspect I've talked - and genuinely listened to - a lot more Maori who think exactly that, because they've lived potentially dangerous misdiagnosis, disparities in care and offensive treatment based on ethnic stereotypes/assumptions.

Any service I turn up to I think about my ethnicity: I worry my name will be mispronounced, or they won't be able to find me on the system because they entered my name wrong, or that they secretly, overtly or subconsciously hate Asians, or will assume I work there, or that I can't speak English.

At least we can trust this government to be mindful that their cuts do not disproportionally impact women or minority workers.

Compulsory media studies education, with a mandatory module teaching that Yes Minister is satire.

Can we have rent to income ratios too?

The current govt is an abusive employer, sneering at anyone who either works in or needs the support of the public sector. It's untenable in a society with any decency or dignity to continue to treat public service with such disdain.

I got an ad for Bentley on TikTok. How much of their market is there, and what makes them think I’m it?

If you want to get tough on crime, give people a steady job so they can make the rent and put kai on the table. Give them access to rehab so they can get on with their lives and be a good parent. For women, it's access to safe stable housing for them and their children. Not prison. #nzpol
