"Just" a leadership race except the winning candidate, as Liberal party leader, becomes the new Prime Minister.

Yes, online after a secure vetting system does its thing.
It is a ranked ballot of 4 candidates. There were two streamed debates, one in French and one in English. The candidates made various personal and televised interviews and town halls over several weeks.
Four days left for registered voting.

It takes a special kind of dedication to withstand the attacks and threats to yourself and family, and to keep true to your core values. We need to honour these kinds of public servants wherever they work. Leaders are tempered by the hardships. No one is perfect, but they've earned trust and respect

Personally I would like to see him remain as PM. He serves Canadians, even the haters, with compassion, courage and grace, through Covid in particular. We owe him so much. I hope he remains in public service for as long as he wishes, either as the MP for Papineau or a civil service appointment.

The opposition headed by Polievre has speny years slandering Trudeau, blaming him for everything including the weather. After ten years, PMJT deserves some peace. But resigning as PM doesn't mean the government has fallen, just that a new party leader is stepping up to be PM. Trudeau is still an MP.

We need media to begin deep-diving into and then PUBLICIZING what kind of org the International Democratic Union is, and who belongs to it and WHY. You can start with members like Netenyahu, Orban, formerly Bolsinaro AND the link between it and Pierre Poilievre and Doug Ford.

I get it.
But my nationality isn't something I can surrender or shelve temporarily. I wasn't a flag waver, but I've surprised myself. This 75 year old granny won't back down from bullies.
When you are threatened, you stand and face the bastards, teeth bared.
I am and always will be Canadian.

Asking such a thing of any sovereign democratic nation is unthinkable, Ukraine or Canada or anyone else. Long live Ukraine, and O Canada.
