The reason most urbanists are car reformists rather than car abolitionists is because they erroneously believe they are "good drivers" (a nonexistent category) and wish to continue using their cars despite such behavior's obvious conflict with their ethical commitments.

We'd predict that a lot of those folks would be less inclined to park there if their side mirrors started disappearing. This is not a recommendation, just a prediction.

Hey @bikemn.bsky.social, your website claims that filtering on a bicycle is illegal in Minnesota because cyclists must obey laws applicable to the general class "vehicle." But we haven't found any law forbidding vehicles, as a general class, from passing another vehicle within the same lane.
