NOAA manages large ocean fisheries in US waters. Scientists there conduct surveys, sample fish, and run complex models to estimate the levels of sustainable catches. NOAA is recognized as a world leader in creating jobs, producing food, and avoiding overfishing. Kudos to NOAA fisheries!!!!

I tried to call Ron Johnson's Washington's office but his mailbox is 'full'. Something tells me he just doesn't bother to listen to his messages and never empties it. You know he's getting tons of calls. At least Steil's office answers his phone and talks to constituents.

I called Bryan Steil's office today & told the staffer I was against Medicaid cuts. He tried to placate me with assurances that the cuts are only to cut those who shouldn't be getting Medicaid. You know, the perfectly-abled adults who could work but don't. I countered with that's a very small %.

A MAGA coworker was talking about getting a car from Carmax & someone told her tariffs would make prices go up. She told us that it'll be tough at first, but it's for our own good in the long run. I had to bite my tongue so hard it might be bleeding.

I did it! I swam a mile! I'm not a fast swimmer, but once I get past the first 8 or so laps, I feel like I can just swim forever. I could have gone farther but had to get out to go to work.

I almost forgot! Day four of swimming! (I forgot day 3! I swam 45 min on Wed). Today I got in 25 laps. I lose count and don't give myself the benefit of the doubt and assume it's less than what I thought. It's so hard to get a lane at 5 a.m! I get they regulars hate me! Like who's this new lady?

I feel sympathy for Brian Thompson's two children. That is the extent of my sympathy. I don't condone this kind of violence at all, but how many people were denied life-saving treatment by United Healthcare? How many people bankrupted? I don't know...that's a lot of bad karma to carry around.

Day 2 of fitness journey: Got up in the middle of the night (or so it felt) to get to the gym by 5am. Got a lane & swam 21 laps. That's a bit over a half a mile. Not bad for second day! I forgot my water bottle, so had to stop home then off to work for a 10 hr shift!

Day 1 of my fitness journey. Swam for 30 min. Only got in 12 laps. I know it'll take time to get everything back so I'm not discouraged. Today was mostly just to learn the new gym so when I go tomorrow before work, I won't be lost. Also I've never been fast.
