Even before I saw your comment I was guessing she was a PhD doctor and not medical doctor 🙄

And before long they will stop reporting this data so that they can deny this is happening.

She's right - they don't have any idea of what real DEI work is or who is doing it. For them, DEI us code for affirmative action and it's all been about taking away jobs.

He doesn't care. His followers don't care. And the WSJ and others who sat back and acting aghast at him doing exactly what he said he would do is nauseating.

Caste by Isabel Wilkerson is wonderful

Unfortunately, the research will be limited if done by health systems because they don't collect population level data, only patient data. So any research they do will be skewed and underserved communities will not be represented in what the research shows.

Was just sharing this resource with a couple of med students who had no idea it existed and were excited to discover it. Never thought they wouldn't be able to use it going forward.

I often joke I am from the home of high fructose corn syrup - it's what built ADM. As a public health person, I won't be sad if they make some changes to food additives, but I know it will be harmful to communities I care about since there won't be support for them with this action.

I do wonder how many vote republican know how much the cuts will affect them and/or people they care about. I really think a lot of people don't understand how much Medicaid does, particularly for older adults.

Never thought we would have to worry about whether Brown vs. Board of Education was settled Law 🤬

Anything we read that was non-American was western European (primarily English literature like Pride and Prejudice, the Canterbury Tales, etc...). We read the Little Prince in my advanced French class. I didn't read anything from other parts of the world until college.

I think our challenge is that the residents have already had frustrating experiences with advocacy and have felt like they can't make a difference. We need examples of "success" and small victories so they see advocacy as something worthy of their time. Good luck!

I work with residents and we are currently updating our leadership curriculum and trying to figure out how to discuss advocacy as part of being a leader. I think we are going to focus on more local (in their health system and community) as a safer place to start.

There are ads for his branded watches running all the time on @espn radio and it just makes me sick. I haven't listened to any of the shows I like since they started running the ads.

It is clear that this group sees others bot as other humans but merely as objects to be used to satisfy their needs. The lack of basic humanity to others is appalling

This is so funny to me because this is one of the Christmas songs I actually want to listen to repeatedly 😆

Anything to distract from what they are going to do to those who voted for them
