I'm scared to post as me on the internet, realised it was making me shy IRL. So I'm trying this to overcome that. Maintains a series of loosly connected Spreadsheets for a living.

i may have found a helpful analogy for how to describe atproto lexicons to “normal” everyday users

REGEXEXTRACT is my favourite formula today. Lets say you had data that said "12 months" because up until 10 minutes ago, that made sense to enter it in that way. But now you need to do maths on the number and an actual date. REGEXEXTRACT be like "Hold my beer. Yo EDATE, lets go to work!"

While temporarily possessed by @jcsalterego.bsky.social I mixed both together and drank it. Just tasted like regular Apple juice.

"it's six of one, half dozen of the other" we get it, you can afford and barehand a dozen eggs

I discovered that you can get different varieties of apple as juice, instead of just an all encompassing Apple juice. I like Pink Lady apples. But Granny Smith Apple juice is way better.

I've reached a point with querying spreadsheets where I need to optimise my formulas for performance. Now I can re-run a query without Google Chrome seizing up for a couple minutes.

Listening to Progressive Trance while tending to my spreadsheet is a nice way to spend a Friday night.

saw a billboard on the way home that read: “less shower lingering, more speedy sudsing” didn’t see who sponsored it, but I want them to know they can fuck all the way off. if I have to face the world each day, I deserve half an hour to boil myself alive and let the tears run straight down the drain

Is it weird that I really like using Salesforce's eLearning platform Trailhead? It scratches the itch Pokemon programmed into my brain when I was a kid: Collect badges to progress and rank up.

I spent two hours rebuilding a spreadsheet my boss made and cleaning up data in another spreadsheet so that we know the thing we need to do. Then a completely different boss from higher up in the company comes swooping in and introduces a third spreadsheet which needs work to do the thing we need.

I've been using Sololearn on and off for years. This is the first time I've ever finished a course and got a certificate. I was inspired to get back into it after seeing all the cool as hell stuff people are making here. So shoutout to you for writing awesome code.

My morning commute banger today.

Is it ironic that BuzzFeed is saying "AI algorithms lead to the proliferation of content that elicits the most compulsive and predictable response from the human brain.” When their core product is clickbait that elicits the most compulsive and predictable response from the human brain.

Oh this share results feature is great. Totally using it to test it out for @dame.is and absolutely not to just flex my alt text score. My alt text rating score is 100.00% ☺️ 244 posts analyzed, 50 contain images, 50 have alt text... Get your Bluesky alt text rating here: dame.is/ratingalttext

Sometimes I find it's hard to sleep because I'm lying here in bed thinking about how hard it is to sleep.

Quick tip for those who don’t have or don’t want to use a second email account for setting up additional accounts: If you have a Gmail account, you can create unlimited variations by adding a +suffix to your email handle.

Snoop and Tom Brady: say no to hate Kendrick: actually

slack canvases are goated when remembering to do stuff is the vibe

Sundried tomato and basil pesto with chunks of Kabana mixed through fettuccine is a solid 'what do I do with this leftover Kabana that's even a little more creative then eating straight out the pack' meal.

I've been thinking a lot recently about how one thing science needs generally is a **social network for sharing big data**, so I wrote this. hackmd.io/wKKm4cIDR6a9... 🧵

Tending to my spreadsheets feels to me like how people who like gardening tell me they feel when gardening.

I spent 3 hours building a formula that imports data I could have copy/pasted in an hour.

A great read listing some alternatives to popular apps. The big struggle is encouraging people to move. To quote one of my co-workers who read the article: We've effectively vendor-locked in society

absolutely eternal tune, i always come back to it eventually despite how low key it is
