15- No! No! No! Don’t Kiss the Frog! (2022) The final frog. One last leap. Unfortunately it was released a day or two before the publisher closed so it didn’t exactly leap majestically into the air and land in the pond with a mighty splash. It was more of a belly flop onto a damp lily pad.

14- S.H.E.L.L. Episode One: The Horse Awakens (2021) A new publisher. Amazing reviews. ‘Star Wars meets Ninja Turtles!’ ‘Better than Dog Man!’ Nominated for an award! Netflix were looking at it! The next 2 books in the series were ready to go! Exciting times! BUT…then the publishers shut. Bum.

12- ROAR OF THE DINNERSAUR (2019) When this book came out it was tiny & not quite the lavishly illustrated grand picture book that I was promised. Also, the publishers didn’t advertise it one little bit! Oh well, you can’t win them all I guess! Still a fun read though…

9- ROBOTS vs PRINCESSES vs UNICORNS vs HAMSTERS (2015) I absolutely love the story when it came out but it was rushed for various reasons. Only a few copies were printed & fewer still were sold (thanks mum!) It was one of those I’d love to go back to one day and make it better… watch this space!

8- SPACE ROCKS (2011) Nobody knows why this happened. Nobody asked for it. But we did it anyway. Ian & I combined on this book that’s chock full of cosmic chuckles & space silliness. It got made into an app, an audiobook, & we did a stand-up show for kids at The Edinburgh Fringe 3 or 4 times.
