The person who received that quilt is a lucky one. It is beautiful and I love the backing. You are a very productive quilter.

Same here in Maine. Wind blowing and power was out for five hours earlier. It always happens when I am cooking for a holiday.

Love your quilt!

Same where I live in Maine, and I approve.

I love it too. Had to zoom in on a block to see how the flowers were constructed. Love your fabric choices.

I made my final visit two weeks ago, looking for batting. There was none. The sign said up to 40 percent off, but I only saw items marked down 25 percent.

Mainer here. I call and write, so does my husband. Jared Golden is a Democrat in name only.

I love what you are doing. Since I don't live near you, I will never find one. However, if I did, I would bring it home, attach a magnet to the back, and put it on my frig. It is a work of art.

Remember? I still have a couple floating around in my sewing room.

These are adorable. The recipients will love and treasure them.

Yes My quilt group has a show every two years, not judged. Nearly all of our quilts are traditional, but this quilt would create a buzz, and people would love it.

It is stunningly beautiful!

It is a lovely quilt. I have never made a quilt I was 100% happy with.

Thank you for posting that link. I just sent her a note of support.

That's my governor!! Good for her. I am hoping she will run for the Senate against Susan Collins. He is such a bully!

Same in Maine

I love it. The older I get, the more color I want in my life.

My husband called her office yesterday, and I called the previous day. We have called her for years and have been crushed by her votes. In the second district, we also have Jared Golden. 🤦‍♀️

Your quilt is lovely. I especially like the textured look you got through your quilting.

I'm one of her constituents, not a moron, did not vote for her, and don't trust her to do the right thing. I have also called and voiced my opinions.

That's beautiful. Do you quilt your quilts or send them out to a long-arm quilter? I quilt most of my quilts on my domestic machine. It does have an extended arm. When I make a really large quilt, I sometimes send it out.

You work fast! I like it. My first Irish Chain is a WIP. I cut up all the scraps in my thirties bin in October but only have nine blocks finished.

Two beautiful quilts...a good month indeed for you!

I grew up five miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. Anyone who refers to it by any other name in my hearing will be corrected.

My grandmother. I own one and it works, but it is tucked away in a corner of my sewing room with things piled on it.

What a wonderful gift to give your son.💖

You are probably right about the bandana fabric being too lightweight for those heavy fabrics. Years ago, I made a quilt from my son's little jeans, but each piece of denim was sashed with cotton strips. You will figure it out and your husband will love it.

Those are great. The sewing machine feature I can't live without now is the thread cutter.

If you want it larger and the denim has become too heavy , start adding borders of lighter-weight cotton. Bandana fabric would look great with the denim.

When we became shut-ins during the first year of covid, my husband and I started putting puzzles together. Now we always have one going. Searching for that one piece certainly takes your mind off the news.

Love it!

The small local library where I volunteer will do the same. We are so delighted to see readers. If our funds are low, we can always get a book through interlibrary loan. Yesterday, I issued three little kids their first library cards. 💖

It is bold, bright, and sassy! I like it. I recently made my granddaughter a quilt. She chose the fabrics and pattern. Making it was painful because I didn't like the fabric or pattern. She loves it.

They remind me of the Gee's Bend quilts.

That looks like a fun block to make. I like your dark-light juxtaposition of the circle pieces.

My first home economics teaching job in 1973, Florida, was girls home economics and boys shop. In 1980 I moved to Maine and it was boys and girls in both classes. Home Economics was eliminated in the district where I taught in 1994 in order to fit computer education into the student schedule.

I love your creation and blue herons. One occasionally visits my property to stalk the crawfish in the pond. Here is a print I own that was done by Maine artist G L Scamman Driscoll.

I love that pattern. When my son was three, his favorite book was Babar the Elephant. A friend knitted him a Babar sweater that he wore until he outgrew it, and then several more kids in the family wore it.

Very pretty. I have a long way to go to post the first finish of 2025.
