Two more ideas:
1. Bosses being immune to status effects
2. Dialogue where people simply repeat the previous sentence as a question:
"We have to go to the mountain!"
"The mountain?"
"Yes the mountain where the dragon is"
"There is dragon?"

My uneducated guess is that this might be python because the interface looks like Pycharm (might be wrong because JetBrains offers IDEs for other programming languages too)

Awesome! I especially love the karaoke songs from Yakuza 0. Songs like Queen of Passion and Machine Gun Kiss have been favourites of mine.

Love your arrangements. Is there some way to buy sheet music for them?

I seriously wonder if someone can use this as a handheld without running into wrist pain very fast

Yes. Short (12 hours for 100%) and fun with a nice and easy concept. Only the final and secret boss of each game is hard.

Have you tried Balatro?

Are you sure about it? Saw some reports by big sites like Eurogamer where they cited modders denying the leak originating from them. Reason was that there were many debug features that they didn't have access to.

Yeah it is a gigantic franchise that can't deal with delays. More dev teams would help. Same ~200(?) guys had to develop Legends Arceus and Scarlet/Violet within less than a year

And the weird focus on gimmicks like the sandwich...
There is a lot of love in the games but clearly a lack of time (and maybe technical knowledge based on some decisions from previous games)

Nothing beats the hostess minigame from Yakuza 0

Biggest problem with the games is that they are a technical catastrophy. Had fun playing them though (even if I hated the exp share system)

I always have the jokers in the following order: chips (usually just 1), flat mult (like green joker), mult mult (like x2, x3, etc). Final slot to money (if you make enough points to use one slot). Try to focus on one hand type that is easy to make.
