Sure they want them. They just don’t want to pay for them. They want publishers to eat the cost of the more expensive cards.

It’s a shame Nintendo doesn’t have any sort of electronic shopping area on their home console where where demos can be distributed via some sort of digital download process. Someday.

Each lap they could’ve advertised something different because merchandising is where the real money from the movie is made…F1 Movie The T-Shirt, F1 Movie The Coloring Book, F1 Movie The Lunchbox, F1 Movie The Breakfast Cereal, F1 Movie The Flame Thrower!

Who played Welcome Tour? According to my play stats I’ve sunk “more than 10 hours” into that game. 😳

Nintendo Life is down?

I’m actually enjoying it. Most of the mini-games are pretty fun and some are pretty addictive trying to get the third medal. The technical details are interesting and presented in a very Nintendo way. Sure, it’s a throw away experience, but for $10 I’ll get a few hours of entertainment out of it.

Uh oh, someone caved in a bought Welcome Tour. Don’t feel bad…so did I. LOL

Now you can lose all your games at once instead of just one! Efficient.

But then if they put them on full cartridges (and charge accordingly) people scream on the internet that the games are too expensive!

Is this exclusive to PlayStation or is it going to be released everywhere?

This layer applied during manufacturing isn’t a screen protector. It’s not designed to prevent scratches to the screen. It’s designed to prevent the screen glass from shattering into many sharp pieces if the screen cracks.
If you want to protect your screen from scratches, apply a screen protector.

The app name is still too long so it gets cut off on the Home Screen. Come on Nintendo…that’s a bush league mistake.

First movie I ever saw in the theater…ET…sacred the shit out of me. Since I never told my parents they thought I loved it. So they bought me an ET poster and hung it on the closet door in my bedroom. Always kept my closet door open so I wouldn’t have to see the poster! 😂

The fine print says e-mails would be sent out in first come first serve order, and clearly that isn’t what is happening. If it’s just a ridiculous random lottery then they should say so.

That did cross my mind, but when GameStop posted numbers a couple weeks ago about 80% of the allocation was to bundles, so I figured Nintendo would have done the same. 🤷♂️
I guess being a continuous Nintendo customer since 1988 and day one subscriber to NSO isn’t enough to be worthy of a pre-order. 🤦♂️

Registered less than an hour after the 4/2 direct (and I meet all the criteria). No invite yet. Fine print says invites come first come first serve. 🤷♂️

Please share your preorder (horror) stories. For me it was 20 *minutes* in the Best Buy queue - which started 30 mins late - to get a console. But Pro Controller queue was 5 *hours* long. Extended queue made no sense since my local Best Buy still has Pro Controller release date availability today.

When are gamers ever going to realize their online calls for boycotts just make them look like fools?

So…it took 20 minutes in queue to get the console, but it took 5 hours (yes hours) in queue to get the pro controller. 🤷♂️

I was in line for 20 minutes for the console. I’ve been in line 85 minutes for the controller.

Yes…only Micro SD Express cards work in the Switch 2 for nearly all functionality.

I just have to LOL at the argument “how will I play this in 50 years?” The likelihood is that no one is going to be playing any of these games in 50 years, and if any of these turn out to be classics then they will be re-released dozens of times over those 50 years in various formats.

What is on everyone’s Switch 2 shopping lists for launch day (console, games, accessories, etc)?
Is everyone prepared for a possible $650 console-only price if Nintendo fully passes the 46% tariff along to the consumer? How much will this harm US Switch 2 sales in both the short-term and long-term?

Which one? Biggest I can find from SanDisk is 256GB. I see some from Lexar. Is that a real brand (with a month and a half delivery date)? Never heard of them.

Yep. I’m old too. My little sister was in love with NKOTB in the early ‘90s and I had to share with her last week that was now the muzak at our grocery store. 😳

I went all-digital with my media (games, movies, books, music) years ago because I was running out of space in my house. I've always wondered where Phil manages to store all his collector's editions, toy collections, 3D printed projects, etc. I assume he doesn't live in an abandoned warehouse. LOL

Nintendo should also limit sales to Nintendo Online Account holders (account must be active for at least one year to qualify) during the initial launch period.
comment in response to

Exactly. Been saying that for years. Apple has figured it out and they do it successfully every year. No “sold out” nonsense. No “restocks” at 3am or waiting lists. Just take the orders and fulfill them first come first serve.
