See that plate with your cakes on, my Mum had the big versions at home in the early eighties (and probably before this time, but that's as far back as my memories go).

I sent my brother a list of album's that were released on 16th June as it's his birthday. Not a bad date in this respect. Better than Enoch Powell anyway! Johnny Cash Live at San Quentin Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica Roxy Music - Roxy Music Bowie - Ziggy Stardust Smiths - The Queen is Dead

Does it count if I still play Manic Miner GBA version on the 3DS and Sensible Soccer on SNES emulator on the 3DS/Vita/Switch. Both so easy to pick up and put down again. They're my hit of hard drugs. Just keep going back.

Did Roy Keane get a medal in 99? I know he never played

Great thread. Thanks. One observation about modern day presentations is that I feel the affinity between the players and the crowd with the trophy has almost gone. You rarely get players taking turns lifting the trophy on the lap of honour. More carrying it around and taking selfies. It's a shame.

Yes. Just about anyone in England preferred over the mancs. I also have no ill feeling towards Ange. *Everyone* is a mercenary.

Do you really get a medal for playing 13 minutes of the third round? I just thought it was the cup final squad, but I'm an old bastard.

* or number of people lifting trophy including non captains i.e. Forrest sharing with McGregor.

28th August 1985, league cup vs Brechin City. Celtic won 7-0. I would have been 7 yrs old. My dad told me to watch Danny McGrain, so I spent most of the game trying to keep an eye on him πŸ˜…

My 1st game was Dryborough Cup 30/7/79 at Parkhead Celtic 5 Clydebank 0 went with my Dad, uncles cousins from Coatbridge in an old van it was a massive adventure for me as an 8yr old I remember everyone in the Jungle laughing around me when I was shouting in my screachy little English accent πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Celtic v Aberdeen 10/03/84. I was 10. We won 1-0 (Skol cup semi). Like you, I was blown away by it all. I'd always loved Celtic and couldn't wait to finally get taken to a match. Wasn't a brilliant game tbf, but I loved every minute of being there. Paradise = home πŸ€πŸ’š

Celtic 1 Hertz 1 22nd February 1986, a week after my eighth birthday. Judas and John Robertson. Think the boys from Embra thought a draw at Paradise would be enough 😊

There are other lyrics to the verses, too. Perhaps the best line in any Celtic song: 'The boys in blue were dazzled by his educated feet'

I knew the line about Charles Patrick Tully from hearing a group singing it on bus, yonks ago (first time I'd heard it). Here's a link that someone posted on a forum, twelve years ago. fifefootball.co.uk/forums/index...

I thought it was, "You've never seen such football, though you travel miles and miles." I am probably wrong, though.

D - First initial of top scorers?

Yes. I was at that one too, unfortunately; Though school stopped me from being able to go to the semi-final.

I was at the under 16 (17?) Final at Hampden. I knew it had to be him. Recall one winner at Ibrox. Was there another, in a semi final or for Scotland?

Not that any decent minded football fan should need a reminder to avoid this hate filled rag.
