I assume you mean they're married to each other, rather than that their marital status is relevant more generally?

I really enjoyed reading this on my phone.

Of course. Good reasons. I loved German at school. Took it to A Level alongside French. As well as being great in and of itself I reckon it was the best way of learning how English works.

Not a German teacher, obviously, just interested. What makes you keen?

Stop it Alex! There are things I'm better off not knowing about and this is one of them. I'm putting it in a category with Turkey teeth and mewing, knowledge of which has not made me a happier man!

I hate the world.

Not on Tik Tok but think I found the sort of thing you are on about. Why would anyone do that? Unhelpful to this year's students and invalidates use of paper for schools wanting to use it internally for next year's students!

What do you mean? It's not a trend I've come across and I can't see why anyone would do this. Doesn't make sense to me unless I'm misunderstanding.

Very well done to you and the other authors! Funny that I got my copy before you!

Can see the appeal but it means I've only got just over two weeks before A Level results, so it's a no from me until somebody fixes that.

The difficulty I have with it is that some of the best summer holidays I've had have involved getting away for best part of three weeks before A Level results - the only time I can get totally away from work. This means that can never happen.
But as for Leicestershire, yeah that's totally weird!

The trouble is that any change involves inconveniencing schools or universities or both.

Does your school have a Sixth Form?

If somebody's got a sensible plan to sort it out while fixing the mess of a university application system we have then I'm ready to listen.

Generally agree but I think in some subjects there's scope for cutting the amount of examined content (e.g. History) while simultaneously making it a more rigorous disciplinary qualification.

Is that article a wishlist or anything that's likely to see the light of day? I can't work out what's going on in education policy.

But more seriously there are some principles, like trying to balance the days of the week when lessons are disrupted or parents' evenings take place, avoiding two or more after school commitments in a week for staff, spacing out he reporting cycle logically etc.

I have in the past and am planning to when I take over again. I think it's also crucial to talk to staff during the construction process so it's not just done to them.

I think a bad one can certainly get in the way.

I sort of feel like I should read it again and I'd get more out of it, but I won't because there are lots of other things I want to read.

Although on second thoughts you say I asked it of humans, but do we actually know for sure that Ben is human?

I'm tempted to make this the first thing I've ever asked of ChatGPT, but not that tempted.

A third of the day? Should that be in lessons devoted specifically to AI or a third of every lesson, regardless of subject? Should it be a third of every single day or can it be averaged out over a week or longer? Maybe you could designate one term of the academic year the 'AI Term'.

I adapt a bit. I put some sourdough starter in this one just to add a bit of flavour rather than as an active ingredient. It was loosely based on this.

Obviously bad for leadership either way but not necessarily for learning.

Depending on the policy this might be a good or a bad thing.
