That's probably not a good argument, because they'd just argue that the fault there is on the side of those on the ground.

To be honest, I don't care. The individual isn't what's important, it's what they represent. If they u-turn, we go with someone else.

Okay, you might not be able to stop it on your own. But you can make it an issue. You can annoy people so that when similar issues come up they might go, "I can't be bothered to deal with that annoying moralist again, pass".

Why isn't this a problem? You are providing them a service. If I had a problem with gay weddings and was asked to bake a cake for one, I would be ethically obligated to refuse. This is no different.

So this is the old "do it or someone else will". This is actually something my mum mentioned was in an ethics course at university when she went. It's a simple problem, with a simple answer: just say that you don't want to take part.
