That's probably not a good argument, because they'd just argue that the fault there is on the side of those on the ground. Personally I'd argue that he might accelerate it, but the unrest will come regardless.

"gtfo" could be interpreted to mean the opposite of what I meant. I meant "I disagree with that".

Stealing implies that the land belongs to someone. Besides the practical problems with that, I just don't think that's a justifiable moral principle. Like what, you can kick someone out of their home because your great great grandfather had the same happen to them? Gtfo.

You can't steal land lol

The impression I get from this is that Hogg is actually pretty effective. Way more than you would expect from his age and experience.

The difference between us and them is that we aren't trying to become dictators. It seems like a crucial difference.

To be honest, I don't care. The individual isn't what's important, it's what they represent. If they u-turn, we go with someone else. Always expect to be disappointed when it comes to giving people power and focus on whether they serve to advance our purposes.

Another right winger forgetting that the rest of the world exists and does the thing he claims is suicidal

I like to hear people out. I'm usually disappointed, but I have to try.

Wait was the UFO under the water? That's a cool idea. And you never know, there could be an underwater scientific outpost somewhere...

Obviously Jeffries is useless, but I do like this tactic. It's so out of left field, but there is actually enough to it that MAGA might actually have to engage with the question. And of course some call Dems communists so it works in that way too.

Can you explain that?

Goddamn communists at it again

Okay, you might not be able to stop it on your own. But you can make it an issue. You can annoy people so that when similar issues come up they might go, "I can't be bothered to deal with that annoying moralist again, pass". To say otherwise is excusing moral cowardice, and hardly a surprise.

Why isn't this a problem? You are providing them a service. If I had a problem with gay weddings and was asked to bake a cake for one, I would be ethically obligated to refuse. This is no different.

So this is the old "do it or someone else will". This is actually something my mum mentioned was in an ethics course at university when she went. It's a simple problem, with a simple answer: just say that you don't want to take part.

I was gonna say "I dunno I've used those before" and then realised "wait maybe it says something that when I've had the choice I've gone with that".

Nothing is as sweet as someone FINALLY talking about a subject you actually have credentials to talk about.

I assume he's just wrong here. Surely he reads, and when he's unsure about something goes to the source.

Not to mention, of course, bi people didn't exist. It was a long time before I came out. It would have been better if I could have discovered that when everything about who I am was in question.

He basically said that corporations act like feudal societies and that a lot of inefficiency came from that. To take right wing conclusions from that is a bit baffling.

Fuck I actually am an agender programmer I dunno why the programmers are all trans, it's an interesting question.
