If only the Party of Government for the past 14 years, had published the findings of their own Russian Interference Report, introduced Levenson 2, declared social media platforms publishers and not taken buckets loads of cash from dodgy largely foreign interests.

Right to Buy as implemented was wrong but worse was the fact that local councils were aggressively banned by Thatcher from re-investing the receipts into new housing. For the future some residents will prefer social housing but there could be a place for rent to owner schemes.

It's hard to remember, when so much of the media (old & new) is in the same team as Mr Orange! He wouldn't be where he is without them. Brian you're a truth teller, but to paraphrase Pastor Niemoller - they will come for you, I wish more power to the light that you shine.

It is highly likely the right will explode because when it comes down to it the modern right throughout the west is actually only any good at breaking things with their hate filled populism. There will be hard times for ordinary Americans & some high rankers will be tested but populism will die!

The cornerstone to fixing poverty is decent and truly affordable housing. A stable home is much more than 4 walls and a roof. It provides a stable base for work, for education, it contributes positively to health and with stable families you will get stable communities.

He is probably correct as much as it grieves me to say it, the world has become a lot more dangerous in the last month - but how many times has he voted for, endorsed or turned a blind eye to the Tories decade of cuts and austerity?

So the witchfinders are finding witches, what a surprise especially when it appears they are using their own algorithms. Good luck USA you voted for this and interestingly this must be the one thing Trump didn't lie about! How are those famous checks and balances working out for you?

Its probably worse than it looks because I think the Tories faked their figures by including forces pensions in the total.

If ever there was a time for the Government to impose responsibilities on media both traditional and new - its now! Levenson 2 and making new media platforms publishers would be a start. Its not censorship its community responsibility.

I was in the UK during the populist right led Brexit debate when Mark Carney was the Governor of the Bank of England. In all of the mediocrity he was a star, often the only 'adult' in the room. Everything he predicted came true. With the populist led uncertainty Canada is facing he's your man!

Maybe SNL should treat this like a wake, a celebration of life, a reminder of what was. The harsh truth is SNL ceased to be funny, satirical or relevant many, many years ago. It's definitely time for last one to leave to turn out the lights!

With this and his insults to Europe, has Vance been told to ratchet up the rhetoric to grab the headlines for when he becomes President? Are the infamous 'men in grey suits' already growing tired of Mr Orange chaos and getting ready to 'retire' him? After all dictatorships do prefer order.

I guess he has been looking at the tax records of the wealthiest then!

I can understand the frustration of the current Government but this isn't the answer. The answer is to implement Leveson 2 as the first step towards creating a duty of objectivity for traditional media. Second new media platforms should be classed as publishers & therefore responsible for content!

And what corporations are going to want to do business in the US with Musk's child soldiers rampaging through the Treasury?

It would be wise for all Americans of all faiths to look up the experiences of Pastor Martin Niemoller of "First they came......" fame. As a man of the church he was at first sympathetic to Nazis in Germany but ended up in Dachau death camp. Tyrants don't allow free thought anywhere!

Its not what BC Ferries can do, as they tend to do OK with the hand they have been dealt. It is the BC and Federal Governments that need to view Ferries differently namely as extensions to an integrated public transport system. A view held by people & community focused governments around the world.

As Home Secretary I ģuess it would be easy for her to start the process of declaring social media platforms publisher's.

When will people learn about Trump? His Gaza 'plan' was nothing more than a giant dead cat play, so people don't look at what is happening elsewhere, like on the same day all US aid was stopped and the press fall for it every time!

Hopefully people will see through this Conservative 'dead cat' diversionary tactic they want to talk about fentanyl because they don't want to talk about what they want to do. For that just look over the border Pollievre and the Conservatives are just Dollar Store Trumps and MAGA Republicans!

Really, 10 Mayors in the Southern Island, that does seem an awful lot for a relatively small geographic area. How much more efficient would it be both in terms of cost and efficiency to have a Greater Victoria administrative area?
comment in response to

This and recent complaints about many municipalities not pulling their weight with regards to supported housing, just shows there are too many too small authorities to provide efficient and effective services in the Greater Victoria area. Modern services demand modern organisation, amalgamate now!
