Sights around Sahagun today. #buencamino

Went to a beautiful Mass at the Santa Cruz Chapel attached to the Benedictine Monastery. A young seminarian sat with me and translated the entire Mass for me. Afterward, we received the pilgrim's blessing. It is the burial place of King Alphonso VI. #buencamino

Happiest depiction of Mary and Jesus I've seen today. It's hanging over my bed at the Benedictine convent in Sahagun on the Camino de Santiago. I think they're laughing at my ridiculous blisters. ##buencamino

Sights along the Camino de Santiago from Calzadilla de la Cueza to Sahagun. #buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day Eight: Calzadilla de la Cueza to Sahagun - 13.5 miles. Almost killed me today, but not quite. We're staying at the Benedictine albergue. Beautiful place! #buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day Seven: Today, we walked from Carrion de los Condes to Calzadia de la Cueza. 10.8 miles. It was a long, straight shadeless slog. And, my blisters refilled with fluid. Darn. #buencamino

Just going through my pictures and realized I didn't post any pictures of the ruins at San Anton. #buencamino

We had a singalong with the Augustinian Sisters tonight at our albergue in Carrion, went to Mass, and then they blessed us and gave us a star to guide us to Santiago. It was very moving. #buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day Six: Blister fix mission completed. #buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day Six: It's official. My foot modeling career is over. These sucker's don't hurt, but they are growing, so they're getting the pin later today.

Camino de Santiago Day Six: Woke up in Villarmentero de Campos and walked six miles to Carrion de los Condes. We are trying to have experiences along the way, so we wanted to stay with the singing Augustinian Sisters in Carrion, hence the short day.

Camino de Santiago Day 5: Just had a beautiful moment after the communal meal at our albergue when an older Italian gentleman who spoke no language but his own stood up and sang us a song. #blessed #buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day Five: Boadilla del Camino to Villarmentero de Campos (9.75 miles). Uneventful day of walking, but a lovely church in Villarmentero. caminodesantiagofrances.com/lo/iglesia-d...

Camino de Santiago Day Four: It was supposed to rain all day, but it didn't! Big thunder, lightning, and hail overnight, but cool, windy, and overcast for our 12 mile walk from Castrojeriz to Boadilla del Camino. Beautiful Meseta views. Blessed day. #buencamino

Sassiest depiction of Jesus I've seen today.

Our Lady of Manzano in Castrojeriz, Spain, along the Camino de Santiago. #buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day Three: Stayed in San Bol last night. It is literally in the middle of nowhere and completely delightful. The original plan was to walk to San Anton to stay there, but it's closed on weekends, so we continued on to Castrojeriz. Beautiful walk today: almost 9 miles. #buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day Two: Today, we walked from Rabe de las Calzadas to San Bol, about 9 miles. It was near 90 degrees, so it took a little more out of us. Still, it was a beautiful day.

This evening, we received a beautiful blessing from the religious sisters at the Ermita De Nuestra Señora De Monasterio in Rabe de las Calzadas #buencamino

More pictures along the way from Burgos to Rabe de las Calzadas. ##buencamino

Camino de Santiago Day 1: This morning, we left Burgos around 6:30am. We have planned four fairly short days to get our trail legs in order, so today was 7.9 miles to Rabe de las Calzadas. This is the view from our room at the pilgrim hostel.

We're back where we left off in 2023: right by the Cathedral in Burgos, Spain. Tomorrow, we begin again. #buencamino

Packed and ready to start The Way on Friday! #buencamino

The Hubs and I leave for the Camino de Santiago on Wednesday, so after Mass today, my parish priest blessed my feet. I'm good to go! #buencamino

A new adventure, actually a continued adventure, starts next week in Spain. #buencamino

I've been retired from teaching for three years. Last night I had a dream that I showed up for semester exams without having copies of the test.

Not sure how this iris got in my garden. Never seen it before, but she's a beauty.

I’ve apparently exhausted all the conclave/new pope videos on TikTok and now the algorithm is serving me up clips of this Spanish priest who does raves

The garden has popped!

My Mary garden is lovely right now.
