(if I may, Stuyvesant square park on 2nd and 17th is not too far from the ess-a-bagel on 1st Ave -- and sometimes there is a person walking their pet piggy in the park!)

at the industrial club I frequented in college, the really hot/mean drug dealing girls who hung out in the bathroom were called the Borg, and I really wish you could have experienced that!!!

as someone who needs to do more boppin but finds it difficult to wander without a destination in mind and thus ends up rotting inside too much, I find this list deeply inspiring.

these are great suggestions. stockpile whatever you use to self-soothe (weighted blankets, crafts, guided meditations etc) and just know you're doing things safely and it will pass.

I'm sorry. I ended up stopping it -- the panic attack hot flashes also stopped. I hope you find something that works for you!

I'm not even sure you can stockpile any psych meds, unless you can pay out of pocket. I emailed my psychopharm to see what's possible.

over half an hour on the phone and I'm still not sure what my final copay for this fucking treatment will be but NO i don't want to speak to their clinician for FUCK's sake

I'm not sure how often they're accepted, but the new owners of my building tried to de-stabilize our rents all sorts of bullshit ways vis a vis "upgrades" and "improvements" and struck out every time. and I assume they have good lawyers b/c they're some giant shitty company!
comment in response to post
it will probably take a while to go through housing court, and if it passes — which it prob won't, tbh! sounds like a very necessary upgrade — it breaks down to a reassuringly small percentage of an increase per month based on square feet of your apt or something obscure.
comment in response to post
yes, the new owners of my building tried this with the rent-stabilized tenants (including me) in my building a few years ago and did not succeed. plenty of us lawyered up but I don't think it was even necessary -- the city was just like, nah, fuck you.

(optum is part of United Healthcare, which uhhh may sound familiar for Reasons :) but they have access to the best doctors in NYC in my opinion. just some stupid inside baseball for you!)

I am hoping it's just an estimate -- there are payment programs like www.botoxsavingsprogram.com that should make it close to free even if my insurance doesn't cover it. it's just fucking annoying how much work it is, when I already pay over 1 grand per month for this coverage!

in the US healthcare system, you have to try and "fail" a lot of (cheaper) treatments before you get the gold standard option, like Botox for migraines -- it's taken me YEARS to qualify. and i'll be damned if I put this on a credit card.
