What would a TV ad promoting alternatives to driving look like? What if people who love cycling and progressive transportation reclaimed ideas like freedom, independence and even patriotism? We decided to give it a shot. Check out our new video, "America, It's Just Like Riding a Bike."

Spread the word! #economicblackout

www.theguardian.com/environment/... Need @shelwinkleywx.bsky.social to give some perspective on this.

“But virtues should be signaled, and the signalers should act to make their virtues manifest.” -Ta-Nehisi Coates

I remember the days when Obama was a tyrant for using EOs to get stuff done…

Just another day in this hellhole www.kbtx.com/2025/01/14/t...

‼️NPPs are employing disruptive innovation and increasing their office-based imaging interpretations. How should radiologists respond? Listen to Episode 7 of ✨Radiology Today with the JACR✨ where we discuss with Dr. Duszak! @neimanhpi.bsky.social ➡️https://shorturl.at/1h4Sm

I found this to be a very timely read and clearly see the parallels within our democracy today. For the TLDR version go listen to the gray area podcast where Sean Illing and the author discuss the book.

Having seen it twice on broadway I was skeptical about the wicked movie, but dang it’s good.

🌡️🔥Climate change isn't a distant threat—it's a public health crisis now. Our study shows heat-related deaths in many cities could surpass annual COVID-19 deaths in just 5–10 years at 3°C warming. Urgent action is needed! 👉 rdcu.be/d5rnL @natureportfolio.bsky.social #scientificreports

We’re getting a horrific glimpse at the possible future. Widespread, cataclysmic climate change tragedies made worse by austerity and blamed on minorities by the Right, who will use their power to enable the wealth class as they continue to profit It doesn’t have to be this way. We can change this.

“but car-brain feeds into the sort of social erosion that does. Driving makes us angrier, poorer, less healthy, and more isolated. Of course, it makes people resentful too.” So, so true.

This is awesome.

It is laughable that environmental concerns are on the top if this list given the amount of O&G production in this area. www.kbtx.com/2024/12/12/l...

The US health care industry in one graph.

FYI

Two alarming trends in TX air monitoring we see again in this new article about oil industry air pollution. 1). Regulators often find levels so high when monitoring they run away. 2). They don't tell residents what they found after they run away.

Either the public understands this information or ignorantly claim physicians are the reason healthcare costs are exploding. Those are your only two options. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk @judywawira.bsky.social @shadowdoc.bsky.social @asset25.bsky.social

So I guess since everyone’s onto how nefarious health insurance CEOs are, there’s a campaign to shift blame to physicians. If you think there’s a single physician out there making $30k per hour, I have 30,000 bridges to sell you.

Probably due to polluting our environment, impacting our health, disconnecting us from our world and other people, wasting our time in traffic, costing $$$ to use and maintain. People first transit is the answer.
