Xmas & New Year 1961-62 at The Cavern Club. The jazz bands were still hanging on in there. I believe the manager thought Beat Groups were a passing fad & wanted to remain a mostly jazz based venue

It's damp out there today but I managed to get out and move some Labrador violets (Viola labradorica). I love these little plants. They self-seed freely and from an initial three tiny plug plants years ago I have them popping up all over now. Lovely under roses. Semi-evergreen. No scent 1/2
