This entire thread. That’s all.

“If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” A classic quote from Malcolm X, who was assassinated 60 years ago today.

Less than three years before Elon Musk tapped him to take part in a sweeping overhaul of the US government, Edward Coristine, then 17, was the subject of a heated dispute between two executives at the Arizona-based cybersecurity firm where he was an intern: bit.ly/3DcfRrN

“Trump and Musk “are going to break the largest, most important social program in America,” O’Malley predicted — even if they have to do so gradually.” www.propublica.org/article/doge...

Good Christ why??? Does Musk not remember the part where he…one sec sorry…MAKES ELECTRIC CARS? 🤦‍♀️

Supporting local artists and small businesses are acts of resistance. Supporting Trans and BIPOC professionals is an act of resistance. Showing up with love and grace in rooms full of people who are resisting tyranny is an act of resistance. Spreading messages of love + hope is mandatory.

DOGE's funding is up to $40MM, @ProPublica.org finds And this: "If DOGE is a federal agency, it can’t shield its records from the public. If it’s not an agency, then DOGE’s tens of millions in funding weren’t legally allocated and should be returned, some contend" www.propublica.org/article/doge...

In addition to Congress being the place that makes the laws, pretty key thing, the constitution explicitly says Congress gets to create the postal system. It’s not left implied that that comes under law making generally. The President has no power to unilaterally abolish it and move it to commerce.

You can all stop telling me that the UK's fascism movement and far right is somehow more moderate than ours. It's not. And they're just as bent on destroying democracy. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Despite today is an insane news day (that's not going to stop, friends.) I made time to call Rep. Wesley Bell's DC office to request an a presser and and official (not a tweet a proper announcement) about how NIH cuts are going to harm Washington University. www.studlife.com/news/2025/02...

Those of you outside of the Midwest should not snooze on this person. Spend some time reading about the work he did for abortion access in the last cycle. I think he’s still the only executive to legalize cannabis in the US vis his legislature. Dude’s a baller.

Because his followers have already committed violence against them once. They erected a gallows for an utter loyalist who rubber stamped everything Trump did. They were cowards then, they’re cowards now. All of them. We’re the heroes we seek. The other side isn’t coming for us. They never have.

From The Guardian.

Reminder that CISA also protects US elections from threats—work the agency was ordered to stop last Friday www.wired.com/story/cisa-e...

I don’t give a shit that Trump called himself a king in a social post. This is nation ending stuff.

For those of you anxiously worrying about the standard of malice in defamation suits, this is rational and helpful (calling it comforting would be a stretch): podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...
