Is there any way we can talk you into staying in the US Senate?

Oh for sure. No doubt. And thank you! I hope it’s helpful.

Maybe. He’s an awfully good heat shield for them if it all goes to shit. And all they have to do to get rid of him is cancel his credential. He’s better at breaking than he is building. That’s his literal rep these days. Check out the pod would love your thoughts!

If you haven’t checked out @timfullerton.bsky.social and my interview with Zoë about Musk (and her excellent reporting about him) on a special episode of @politigoodpod.bsky.social, please do. bsky.app/profile/poli...

Being a public official in St. Louis is nearly thankless. This is a staggering amount of development since Reed left the BOA.

This would create a lot of good PR for St. Louis if they can pull it off. Not sure that downtown needs another food hall that close to Ballpark Village, but I am happy to be convinced otherwise. Always hard to tell from a rendering, but I am on board for this. 1M% this could be a game changer.

A thousand percent.

Yep. Exactly that part. They believe it like it's gravity.

The lack of consequences is part of how he became this way. Grew up with a lot of money w/out earning it. Constantly rewarded for breaking the law while the top office holder in the country. Welcome to narcissism 101.

Compulsive liars like Trump and Musk repeat a lie so often, they start to believe it. They have to. You can make them admit they're lying occasionally, but they'll justify the lie as being necessary for their survival. The adults around him are enablers. This is his truth. I don't doubt that at all.

Didn't this process start in 2018? What the F with this collective amnesia?

Trump is so pathological, he now believes every single word that comes out of his mouth about January 6th. This isn't about the libs at all. This is the pathetic, saggy, anemic victory lap he feels he's owed.

It’s for sure what happens when a pathological liar is confronted with irrefutable truth. This is what it looks like when they’re backed into a corner of their own making. They insult and abuse the truth teller.

And she's blaming...Tony Blair. Does she have a calendar and does she need to be reminded of how long her party was on power??? These people are so full of shit. I can't.

I think she's a terrible governor and she also shouldn't be in this position. We'll have GOP governors yanking mayors ALL OVER the damn place if she does it.

He's never going to come to work. He's never had to hold down a real job. He's as incompetent as he is insane.

This headline should read "President Trump Is Keen on Sending Checks, Needs To Pass Budget First" or something. Elon Musk can want to do all kinds of shit, but he can't. I hate to be "that girl" all the time, but the framing of these stories...

You have a big platform, Mark. If you really want an answer, here's mine. Post about your experiences when you call to speak with your representatives. "The Dems" is a pretty big group. You have a House rep and two Senators. Call them. Post about how those calls w the staffers go. Do that DAILY.

Were you able to make it to Jeff to testify (apologies if I missed that...)?

He could be much, much more vocal re: the income and prestige a top medical and research schools brings to both his country in his district. Wash U is far from perfect but it's one of the best teaching hospitals in the U.S. This is an easy layup for him. Call his office! bell.house.gov

If he's the governor, it means that he had to approve the funding and work with his health agencies to make sure it happened. So even if indirectly, without question, that's his doing. I still resent that Parson was reelected despite how badly he handled COVID. Voters aren't dumb. That was on us.
