Awareness Month. Heart.org wants this to be a time to celebrate survivors and spread awareness of heart disease. When I had a significant cardiac event in Nov 2016, it was prayer, love of my family, education and lifestyle changes that have kept me. GoRedForWomen.org (3/4)

one of the first black women hired at National City Bank in the early 1970s. She lived a full life, until her heart became too weak. Cardiovascular disease ended her life on February 18, 1983, at the age of 51 leaving an unfillable void in my heart.-February is also Women's Heart Health (2/4)

Yes #BlackHistory must be learned #blacksky #blackbooksky James Weldon Johnson, an accomplished author and composer, wrote Lift Every Voice and Sing” in 1900. The NAACP adopted it making it the Black National Anthem. The first performance was by students at the Stanton School in Jacksonville.
