This is why I crown the importance of FFX so fucking much. It’s kinda paramount to what I feel each FF needs to have in one aspect or another. It also kinda being the last modern JRPG in the franchise that still connects itself to its classic roots is a big point.
FFXVI is just so…. Bizarre???

Monster Hunter's lost its fat to become DMC, FROM is still frankensteining Demons Souls to this day cause they can't make Bloodborne 2, most fighting games don't even have content anymore.
Indie is great to have, but I think the biggest crisis of it all is just trying to find a new center.

I’m realizing the reason I keep coming back to DS1 is because it feels so divorced from the rest of its descendants; a methodical dungeon crawl that has a slower pace, but strict risks.
Modern soulslikes by FROM have felt too fast and loose that the lack of interesting combat feels so detached.

You have a lot of range, but you do keep a consistent tone. Your voice is very full and slow, but I think you only get monotone when you’re not in a good mood. Otherwise it can be very swingy when you’re excited. It’s one of my favorite quirks about’chya~
